The more your daughter yells at and degrades her children, the more likely they will be picked on, because your daughter will have stripped away any sense of self-esteem and security her children might have. Also, if she sets herself up as someone who just scolds and yells, instead of listens, under... |

Maybe your major is one of the biggest problems. If you spend so much time on the computer, why not major in Computer Science or something in the related field? My University just added a BA in Gaming Graphics. One can also get jobs in game testing. I had a lot of friends who worked for Nintendo and... |

I went on a strict Gluten free, wheat free, sugar free, dairy free diet for 18 weeks and I had never felt better in my life. I felt like I actually controlled my emotions and my brain as a whole. However, the diet itself was horrible. I ate brown rice and broccoli for 18 weeks and now I can't be aro... |

Hi all, I just found out from the NW Autism Center that there will be a special screening for this movie, in Spokane, on April 14th. Jerry Newport will be there apparently...they are going to have a wine and beer reception and then show the movie. I am hoping to at least go to the movie. If not that... |

You have to be careful, or you will look like what's his name from N'Sync...cheezy. If you want to do something different with your hair, you should set up a consultation with a hair stylist and they can give you ideas. Just my opinion though. Obviously, guys can just shave their heads if they don't... |

Interesting, but I don't agree with it. I am an Aspie, did not have dating problems (one guy I dated ended up being a professional baseball player), am married to a wonderful man and I have an 18 month old daughter. I have been told that I am friendly and easy to talk to. Aspies can make quite good ... |

Your daughter is insecure and I am sure at times frightened, because of her sensory issues, which would explain crying and whining, which also makes her sensitive emotionally. Might I suggest you also have her learning style evaluated? She may be a visual-spatial learner and in a auditory-sequential... |

The more you explain, the more it sounds like AS to me. I felt extremely lonely as a child and I knew that I was different than everybody else. I flapped, had meltdowns and would talk over people. The best way for your daughter to learn how to behave is to teach social rules as a subject like any ot... |

Actually, our neighborhood is called "Snob Hill," b/c of the nice houses, schools and people. We are by far the safest area in the city. I know this, b/c I used to work with the Juvenile division. The serial killer of course lived in our neighborhood, b/c he had a wife and three kids and was a Natio... |

Holy S**T! About two years ago, my husband and I were driving down the street at night, when we ran over a bunch of large lava rocks. I had seen two kids running from the scene, so I chased them down, found them, and made them come back to my car. I took down their names and addresses, but didn't ca... |

I am an Aspie married to an NT and I was feeling the same way after doing some reading on Aspies and relationships. However, my husband and I have learned that as long as we communicate, we are okay. Some days are better than others, as in any relationship, and I do take special handling sometimes, ... |

The "show" will be returning, but it will just be a compilation of episodes and skits that didn't make it into the other seasons. They aren't approved by Chapelle and apparently this was one of the many factors leading to his withdrawl from the show.

I definitely like the picture of you smiling the best, although all of them are good. You have nice eyes.

A speech pathologist can help with pragmatics and speech delays. Speech delays can contribute to biting. Interesting... In my personal experience with a mild-closed head injury and executive functioning issues, I was referred to a speech pathologist, because, while specializing in speech issues, th... |

I have same type of relationship from my Mom, but what's worse, for me, is that she is passive-agressive and as an Aspie, I despise that type of behavior. My Mother can make comments that just cut me to the bone, and it can make me feel sick inside and ruin my day. Other times, everything is fine. I... |

Sensory Integration Disfunction maybe, but that does not equal Aspergers. My daughter bites too, but she is 15 months old and does when she is very frustrated and has never bit anyone but me, since I am the one who always deals with those situations. Your granddaughter may have social issues, but th... |
