Hi I’m interested in hearing from people on the spectrum specifically, who’ve found cbd oil helpful. I’m only 12 days in and started with a low dose and am hoping the drowsiness alleviates after a couple of weeks. I’m also hoping my anxiety improves after a while. I’ve read some really mixed things ... |

It's possible you have both. Or indeed Pathalogical Demand Avoidance. If you're worried this therapist is understating your autism due to personal bias then I'd recomend doing online ASD tests and taking the results with you. But I wouldn't rule out doing some APD and PDA tests as well. If you're s... |

I find both tick all the boxes for me but is it common to have both? One of my therapists brushed aside the possibility of my having Aspergers (after a psychologist disagnosed me) and said it’s in fact avoidant personality disorder. My current therapist seems dubious about my Aspergers too but her p... |

I would say autism is a brain hardware issue And anxiety/depression/ptsd etc are treated as software issues But when your mental health problems are so intrinsically linked to your autism, surely it takes more than conventional methods to fix them? The only thing that has helped me with any of my is... |

Has anyone adopted the LAT lifestyle with their partner to deal with ASD vs NT stuff? Seems like a viable way to control your own environment more but I know a lot of people would feel cautious about such an arrangement. I’m sensitive to noise and my NT partners main hobby is playing loud music and ... |

Well aside from the argument that girls are for some reason better at masking and blending in, to be honest I think it’s mostly sexism at fault. I would get infuriated a lot growing up when I constantly noticed the injustice of how I was treated differently to boys in my viscosity, siblings, classma... |

I think you should continue to delve into therapy in hopes you can come to terms peacefully with how to express your true self without feeling the need to hide or camouflage so much. Who cares what people think? If you’re not being cruel or abusive to other people, there’s no need to judge you. If p... |

I feel like this is a very common trait among asd people, I’ve read it at least a few times in descriptions and personally have this issue too. I have bipolar 2 as well so at times I burst out in affected theatrical voices and accents and sing, but if I’m being myself I’m so monotone and mumbled peo... |

I have always had this issue! I never feel thirsty! Well, unless I’m really hot and tired and crave refreshment, but most days, if I didn’t need to take water with my meds, i probably wouldn’t think to have any water all day. I know it’s really not healthy and is probably why my skin looks so bad at... |

I’m exhausted from the everyday struggles in my life, social challenges, anxieties, overwhelm, stress, self loathing, sensitivity, generally failing to get it together at any point. I’ve had therapy, I’m on meds, I’ve read and listened to self help books, I’m starting to get cynical that things can’... |

The humidity is the worst. I’m constantly exhausted and my limbs get heavy and aches, I can hardly sleep. My coping ability for anything goes down dramatically when I’m too hot or if it’s too humid. I feel so so stressed and trapped, even with air conditioning I can feel the humidity seeping into my... |

Thanks guys these posts are really helpful, I find it hard to put my struggles into words especially because he is so intelligent, his arguments often sound very rational compared to my explanations. I will try to find a good way to explain though. |

I’ve been in my first relationship two years now, we’ve lived together most of that time and got engaged a few months ago. He’s an intelligent person with a hypothetical understanding of Aspergers/asd but like everyone else in my life, he’s fallen into the trope of expecting me to just ‘push through... |

You're going to school and fighting with your parents? I don't know your age or sex but either way it seems immediately likely to me (if you at least 13 years old) that your hormones have something to do with it! Find music or games to vent with, you can't always be patient with people..but if can b... |

Hey I just wanna say I really feel your frustration! At this point I ... |
