I am a DD and I rarely wear a bra! (I'm also 5'2 and 100 pounds, so maybe a bit large for my frame.) Proof that you don't have to be small-chested to go braless! I do doubt the whole cancer bit, bras cause cancer probably about as much a using a cell phone or breathing... actually, probably much les... |

I am female with the male finger pattern, too. There isn't a huge difference in size though, maybe that's why I'm bisexual. |

It is interesting. Personally, tests have revealed that I do have high testosterone levels. I found this out after being tested at 18 when I had went an entire year without menstruating. I was only interested in dating women for about five years during this time. High testosterone was prominent amon... |

I agree that it is mainly symptoms, circumstance, and ability to cope in the given moment that change. Perception is also important, I think. If I were diagnosed in early childhood, classic autism would have seemed obvious (speech delay, lots of typical stims, etc.). However, I was diagnosed after m... |

I chose the Fine Art option; Language and Gender Studies were close runners up, though. I'm going to list each, just for for my own interest. :D physics, chemistry, applied math - Nope, forget about it, Not happening. I struggle with subtraction and addition. languages, writing (fiction or non-ficti... |

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know why it never occurred to me to take a list of things to say! I have done this before with varied success, and I have to do it if I attempt phone calls as well. I think my stock phrase for therapy suggestions will be "I have to discuss this with my husband, I ... |

Thanks for the responses, everyone. There are a lot of things I hadn't really considered! It is hard to balance the desire to just let him be and accept all of his quirks--because as an autistic kid, that's what I would have wanted--against the need to push him and get him assistance that may improv... |

My son is coming up on four-years-old. He was in First Steps from age 2-3 for the whole gamut of therapies. When it came time to transition to preschool-based therapy, I declined. I felt that nothing was being done that I wasn't already working on. Worse, his therapists were very geared toward "fixi... |

Wow, you guys have amazing kids. My son just now turned 3, so I have a feeling he has a lot more to show me. As for now, let's see... he has been able to recognize all his upper and lowercase letters since he was 2 (despite still not being able to sing them or say them consecutively). I first realiz... |

Yep, I've had emetophobia since I was a kid. It used to be so bad that I was afraid to watch TV/movies out of fear that there would be a vomiting scene. Now, I have a friend who screens them for me, and I just leave when I know the scene near. The only thing that almost kept me from having children ... |

I had the opposite experience of everyone's worry: I was laughed at for NOT believing in Santa at around ages 6-8. I don't recall ever believing, my parents say any mention of Santa was usually met with an eye roll. My three year old looks at me like a psycho if I try to explain Santa, so I think we... |

I've made about four really major across-borders moves, and countless smaller ones, and I usually get nostalgic for places I didn't even find particularly fantastic while living there. I am very good at remembering the exact appearance and feel of different places where I've lived, and also places o... |

I'm not great at memorizing them or anything, but I do love facts and lists. Right now I am sort of into this book called Final Exits; it has all sorts of interesting stories and figures regarding death, past and present. |

Only certain colors are pleasant to me at a high intensity; green and purple, for example, as well as "Earth" tones, are enjoyable for me when vivid, but red, yellow, and blue, especially when combined, hurts my eyes when they are too vivid. This is me, exactly. Colors produce emotion in me, too; a... |

I have always toe walked, but not for emotional reasons, and not because of physical issues either. I don't remember, but I suspect it may have started due to tactile issues; perhaps it became more of a subconscious comfort thing from there. Other things, such as lip biting, tapping, hair twirling..... |

Clothing is my "special interest". ( I hate calling it that--sounds perverted. ) But I have good news! It is possible to look female and be comfortable at the same time. I am more comfortable in skirts than pants because of the way my body is shaped (no waist to speak of, long torso, very short leg... |
