Well could you just spend your time doing what you like doing & then something you do could develop into a special interest? Do you have to have a special interest?

I hate the myth that all people with aspergers have a high IQ & a special talent! I don't have a high IQ & I still haven't been able to find any special talents. I also hate the myth that we are selfish & can not at all relate to other people.

Well I have AS but I don't think I have the special interest trait. Have you got a job? I have a job & it's a really good way to pass the time. Don't put limits on yourself & start looking for a new interest. : )

From my experience ASD & AS are considered themselves as being learning disabilities.

I have AS & I don't really have any special interests or obsessions. My hobbies are watching TV, going on the internet & going to the gym. So yeah maybe you just don't have that trait.
