Given my love for all things Tolkien, many of his characters, but not the ones most people expect. Olórin, a.k.a Gandalf? Sure, but more as a part of the Istari. Manwë, King of the Valar. Ar-Pharazôn, the last king of Númenor. The dark lord, Morgoth Bauglir. Túrin Turambar, son of Húrin, eventual sl... |

It's not the planet, it's the inhabitants thereof. I meet a lot of people who aren't comfortable when someone different comes along. Too many people expecting me to be like them, to change who I am so I fit in, most often for their benefit and not mine. I want a world where it's universally recogniz... |

I've been to the funerals of all four of my grandparents in the past decade, and each and every time, despite how well I liked them when they were alive, I just took the event as something I had to do, rather than a time for mourning or celebrating their life. Even as far as their passings went in g... |

All the time, especially if I lose interest in what I'm doing and I can't go do something else. |

I suppose I can, but it really depends on if I want to do the task or not. |

Any squishy or rubbery substance — gel shoe inserts, for example. When I pass them in the store I have to give them a poke or a squeeze, and I never feel as if I've poked or squeezed quite hard enough. I've ruined plenty of stress balls that way, by digging my fingers into them way too hard. |

Tolkien is my main interest. I accept that I don't have all-encompassing, encyclopedic knowledge, but I do generally know more than most. I was at a restaurant the other day that had one of those walls you can write on. I wrote a short message in Quenya using Tengwar. I doubt anyone passing through ... |

The people I know seem to act somewhat like I've chosen to do it, as if I've made a conscious decision to bug them. Of course I don't mean to, but it happens. |

I just read or watch things a few times. If I want the info to stick, it usually does. |

I'd kill for it to be selective; I don't even manage it very well with my own family. |

A lot of my laughter is internal; I usually just crack a smile. I do occasionally laugh out loud when I find something extremely funny, but it's still rather quiet. I don't know that I could describe exactly what it is I find funny, though; it seems to be a case of "I know it when I see it". It may ... |

Yes. I often don't go to sleep (or even begin to feel sleepy) until 5 or 6 AM and wake around 1 PM. Every once in a while, for one reason or another, I'll get very tired during the day and go to bed at a more "usual" time like 10 or 11 PM. That will stick for several days, and then over the next cou... |

When it does happen, rather than specific emotional content, it's most often a result of a certain connection I have with the film or program in question, because it's affected or shaped me strongly at some point. |
