Personally I don't believe either child should be punished. I subscribe and heartily endorse a system of teaching called "positive discipline". XP, I'm staying away from Vista as long as I can.
KDE on my desktop, Gnome on my laptop, although both have both.
Ubuntu, if you have a lot of time FreeBSD.
