I was trying to not reply, but Section 508 is a big possible reason why the color scheme is like this. For those who do not know what Section 508, it deals with accessibility for individuals with disabilities (this now includes information technology and websites). Target was sued for their website ...

Thank you everyone for your replies so far.

It does seem a shame there are no other themes even a monochrome one.

I would have thought that the site would have complied with the various guidelines for people with disabilities.

I have being an op in a number of IRC chat rooms and it's a position of great responsibility . An op is the public face and servant of the chat room and possibly of the linked website too. One thing I did learn very early on is never make anyone an op who asks or requests to be one; they always want...

Is there anyway of changing the blue / green colour scheme?

I find the alternate blue/green for each post in a thread extremely confusing.

Is there an alternate stylesheet?

Sometimes I'll click on a thread to post a comment, then find someone else has already posted something similar to what I was going to say, so I don't post. It's already been said. Or it turns out the discussion is different than what I expected it to be from the title, or the discussion has alread...

It's interesting what you said about characters emotions and caring for fictional characters. I have never done this and I only realised a couple of weeks ago that other people did this. Also I never done this in books either, which is probably why I find fiction so difficult to read. When study Eng...

I had similar troubles, but I think I put too much pressure on myself. I did pass on my 5th test. You can already drive, this is just demonstrating what a great driver you are. Looking back I think one of things they are looking for is confidence, so if you make a mistake when you are on your own yo...

whats a meltdown?

A meltdown is when something causes you to lose your temper to the extreme.

I find many more factual programmes are like that.
They go and over simplify everything and point out the obvious.
Then they keep repeating things, especially after a commercial break.
