If I knew the other person also wanted a coke, I would give them the cold one. For some reason I think it tastes better straight from the can (it is fizzier) than when in a glass, so I would not split the cold one but would take the warm one. Likely, I would put the warm one in the freezer for 30 mi...

I told 3 people. I told one person becausenshe already guessed it, another person who said she suspected she was an Aspie herself, and another person who said she was diagnosed. In those types of cases I feel comfortable telling them, otherwise I don't.

Yes! I find most common expressions to be very annoying, especially when the saying creates a picture in my mind that is completely the opposite, or very unrelated, to what is meant. For example, the phrase "heads up" - intended to mean caution or something similar - causes me to picture p...

Not literally but I can see the connection. Many can likely relate to them in various ways. Ex. 1) being different not really fitting in to any NT mold 2) having to hide ie pretending to be normal 3) not feeling completely accepted etc

Mostly WISC but there are parts of the ESC description that fit perfectly. I would like to see a more in depth description of a weak ESC vs a solid ESC. It seems the biggest difference between WISC and SASC is that the social difficulties of a the SASC come from anxiety whereas the social difficulti...

Bob was a Vice President at an important corporation. He made big decisions. Most of his decisions were based on the data analysis reports he got from an overworked employee in the Data Processing department. He swt down at his computer and checked his email. The report he requested was not there. H...

I was in a similar situation where my job got too overwhelming. There were too many projects at the same time with ridiculous deadlines and everything was an emergency. It didn't use to be like that, but in the last year or so the company I worked for grew rapidly and things changed. I asked my boss...

I have been learning ASL for a few years and I have gotten pretty good at it. I picked up the signs and grammer very easily and think my facial expressions are ok but not great. I've found I can understand facial expressions better in ASL than I can in English. This is probably because facial expres...

Possibly. Some traits seem familiar but many of those traits could be something else. I am not a professional so I can't say one way or the other...but since your son was diagnosed and you have some traits then...maybe. If you feel a need to know for sure then you should check with a professional.

When they ask for help on what to say to someone they just met answer by saying, "Read the person and respond to how they are acting," when you know that they have very little ability to read facial expressions and body language.

I have issues with executive functioning as well. The way to get better is to make a habit of doing things to improve the executive functioning (like scheduling) but adding one element at a time. Definitely agree. This helps me to get things done. However, if I am very overloaded even a schedule th...

I use subtitles. I find it is easier to understand what is said. Also, if characters look similar it often shows the name of the character speaking. Also, sometimes, it even indicates if something is said sarcastically or with some other emotion.
