Keep in mind that I am not only comprised of some of the most annoying behaviors ever. Inspite of what written belo...

He does have a background where the person who won the argument was simply just the person who could argue the longest untill the other became exhausted and gave up. We have a counsellor who specializes in autism so I'm thinking to arrange a session specifically about communication. But to be clear ...

Honestly, I think you have a childish attitude.

It might be helpful to me if you specified why you think that.

Hi guys. So I've been with Dylan for 3 years almost now and what I've noticed is that unlike my other relationships, we'll both have arguments that lead me to have 3-4 meltdowns over a several hour argument (sometime 4-5 hours). It's gotten to the point that I have so many meltdowns that I start to ...

My partner (NT) and I have been forcing ourselves to live in an unsustainable living situation (cold roomates, senile landlord, house falling apart, living in a busy stressful area, hobos etc). I love this person and so I've forced myself into a living situation that my autism essentially disagrees ...

Yeah Starkid, I'm thinking I just didnt watch enough of it because I let myself be turned off. Also Rainman was advertised as being about an autistic but in reality I think you're correct in saying that it was about ID and being it was made in the late 80's it wouldn't surprise me. One of my obsessi...

I personally made it only 1/3rd the way into it just because the dramatizations of him a child and so forth really turned me off to the rest of the film. I should probably just try again with it. but man, why do film makers let it go down that path because it's really hard not to find dumbed down o...

Most autistic character portrayals I have seen have been hit and miss. I wouldn't expect this one to be much different. I don't know if such portrayals can be mesured by how accurate they are, but rather how good the acting is. Have you ever seen Adam (2009)? My ASD partner at the time laughed alot...

I just started taking it today (typical 1 mg) and I'm having a hard time finding anything useful about it in the autism community since its a blood pressure medication (nothing wrong there). My psychiatrist also mentioned that difficulty in socially interacting for those of us on the spectrum can ea...

Thanks for being a place for me to talk because I don't feel like I can talk to any of my NT friends without creating new activities in what has become my own personal agility course. I am struggling with depression, it's only situational. I don't want to kill myself I just want to skip this chapter...

I breathe fear at work, its practically my amniotic fluid. I just have very high expectations of myself and to make up for my blind spots I just become hyper-aware/vigilant as a defense. It's really frustrating how robotic and professional I am in contrast to people at work. I feel like I have to be...

I find I have excessive amounts of time to myself now. It's really hard for me despite being a hermit and needing more alone time than most people. 4 months is alot of time, but I figure instead of being hard on myself I'll just be positive about how this will look for my disability case. So when yo...

Actually Goldfish thats how I feel to a T lol. I feel better now that I know what I'm feeling must be normal. The only reason I dont let these feelings take me over is because I know this man genuinely loves me. I think maybe he has too many negative connotations with the word than I do.
