Some people are completely misinterpreting what I'm saying, and it looks like this is just going to become another pro-cure vs. anti-cure thread which was not my intention.

Goodbye for now.

People are allowed to be pro-cure just as they are anti-cure. I didn't read beyond this sentence, since you don't seem to have done me the courtesy of reading my post at all before responding. I directly stated that people are entitled to hold whatever view they wish. "It is entirely your right to ...

"More and more Aspies..." So ... you feel that three or four Aspies receiving media coverage out of the thousands of murders which occur each year justifies insinuating that Aspies are prone to committing murder? No, you obviously haven't thought this through. I know of Autistic people who've recei...

 Joe90 made a funny thread about this awhile back. There are the "is having a small head an aspie thing?" and "is having a big head an aspie thing?" ect. ect. I don't remember making that thread but I will look for it. I do agree with Caz72 a bit, because when I used to be obsessively pa...

One of the major reasons I rarely post here now is because of the behaviour of certain pro-cure members . The behaviour I speak of is a tendency to attack anti-cure members for not hating an intrinsic part of themselves. One big reason people come here is because Wrong Planet is marketed as a suppor...

In my opinion, it's very much dependent on what the thread is. Like Ezra and jrjones said, bumping personal threads from long ago isn't at all helpful, and it's extremely rude when it is done to ask some philosophical question. However, it can be good to resurrect helpful threads from long ago - GAD...

It was a joke - a while ago, some guy was really passionate about it and kept asking you specifically to add it, ignoring any explanation you gave. Guess that was further in the past than I thought.

Someone would have to create a whole another forum and announce it here and have new members sign up there but I don't think alex would want them using the same name he uses here. I was not suggesting that someone else create a forum and steal Alex's branding, but that an official replacement forum...

The way I see it, every person who's ignorance is cured is a victory for us. However, I do agree that more needs to be done in terms of offline activism in relation to Autism Acceptance. One problem is that there aren't enough powerful Autistic-run organisations around, and another being how damn di...

Given that the site is falling to pieces with no sign of an update in the near future, I'm curious as to what people think about my proposed solution... Lock this version of the forum down and move it to a subdomain such as classic.wrongplanet.net for reference, while opening an entirely new forum t...

The thought of Wrong Planet going down uneases me because I'm a member of a fantastic smaller forum, and the effect a sudden influx of WP refugees would have on the community is worrying. I wasn't surprised that the site was down yesterday. If Alex was working on the site's upgrade, then I'll believ...

You are presuming that Alex has a workload related to this site. I seriously doubt that Alex has spent even an hour over the past four months dealing with site related issues. I made no such assumption and have often expressed frustration with the site's performance, so if you could not lie about m...

I completely agree with you. I can't give you any advice on how to cope with it because I find it extremely difficult to cope with. However, I'll be leaving to start college after summer. I don't know where you are, but would you be able to do something similar?
