Question: Do you find anyone with AS that has repetitive behaviour troublesome enough so they cannot function? If so, the probably are closer to OCD than Aspergers/Autism. There is nothing wrong with repetitive behaviour as long as it is not preventing you to function properly . That part of the di...

Thank you for sharing. It sounds like they are figuring out what some of us individually learned the hard way. I honestly believe that if we are able to develop a better understanding of the way autism is manifested in females better, it will actually helps males as well. The way we look at autism ...

This redefinition has its goods and its bad's. I do believe that the classification including social and communication difficulties but excluding repetitive behavior is concerning. Females Apies for example will often not display issues with communication (I am very much like this as well; I communi...

I've taken a few of those tests out there once or twice, and they always result in saying I'm below the cutoff for an Aspie score, the most recent time being almost there but not quite. Yet, ever since I heard about AS, I've been positive that I have it. On another thread, I read something about a ...

Yeah, I suck at video games too....and at using technology. What kind of aspie am I? An Aspie with better things to do. I think one of the worst stereotypes is that Aspies should be good at video games. Now knowing that I am an Aspie, I finally have better understanding of how I learn. Aspie'...

When I used Zoloft, I gained 20 pounds; I wasn't eating more or anything of sorts. Once I stopped, the weight came back down.

Over the last few years I have been feeling bouts of loneliness. Enough to make me depressed when I thought about it. There were times I would see couples out in public and it would hit me that I was jealous that I couldn't have that kind of relationship with someone. However the grass always seems...

Yes, it makes perfect sense. It's fine to being an introvert; in fact it even has its benefits however it is still important to journey outside your room and communicate with others. Find the place that you are most of comfortable and spend time there. I think its good being able to be alright with...

I started my treatments on Friday for Asperger's. I told the Therapist that while I function as an adult, I often don't feel like one. She told me that this is normal for most people.

I prefer being in my room by myself. That's how I spend and want to spend most of my time. However, sometimes (like today) I feel lonely. It's not like I really crave company but I'd like to feel understood. I'd like to feel like I'm not completely alone in functioning and thinking the way I do. Do...

First of all, i've never been oficially diagnosed, but, after many people said i had aspie traits, just to show them wrong, i took many tests and all agreed i had some mild aspergers. Now, 2 years later, i took them again, and the results are a more definitive asperger: from 102 of 200 to 122 of 20...

I'm pretty lonely but also pretty miserable. Other Aspies on here say they aren't lonely. Its a pretty normal thing for me. I don't have any friends though. Are you lonely? I'll admit that I don't really understand either how people can spend all, or most, of their free time on their own and not fe...
