If you want real Boomer Shooters, you're going to have to grab an Atari. My favorites were probably River Raid and Zaxxon.

I've worn water shoes sometimes while doing water events. That may be what you're thinking of, shoes meant to be in the water. Sneakers would take forever to dry, I wouldn't do them unless I really had to.

Earplugs. I usually wear foamies, Skullscrews are my favorite. They're like $2 a pair and can last for years.

Well, the main question is, do you like your job or not? If you like it, fight to keep it. If you don't, then just use this as an excuse to move on.
