I think my 4 year old hates living with me. I make a lot of mistakes in public, as my parents never really took me out in public situations and most of my friends don't have kids, or are married and share responsibilities at outings. We went to an Aspergers get- together last night, and I met an NT ...

I think with a voice (or voices) like I said, but when I get information IN from people talking or hearing the TV or what have you - it becomes a visual Word Document. I see printed words when people talk to me - it changes font by importance or accent.

Faces and expressions are largely lost on me as well, but then so are different voices at times. i respond instead to body language. I can tell who someone is by hearing them walk most of the time. If I've met someone before, the best way to remember them is by the way they move. I notice peculiarit...

Oh I definately talk audiably to my voices . . .both of them having involved arguments. These arguments I suppose ARE in fact, my critical thinking process, I am always better for them once they are over - but there are times when it takes a while for one side to convince the other. I was perscribed...

I never thought to describe it that way. My seperate voice is much more direct, friven and critical than my other voice. I have that when I melt down or am very stressed too - quite often when I'm driving. A funny thing though . . .when I went home for my birthday for a week or so - itstopped. Only ...

Welll when I tell people, they often either freak out or do what I call, "anti-freaking out" which means they completely deny it and say, no you don't have Asperger's Syndrome, it's all in your head, you're using that as an excuse, you should be less harsh on yourself. My having AS seems to have mor...

I have what most people call "movie dreams". They are very vivid, detailed and hav very intense storylines, often repeating or picking up where the last one left off (sometimes in reverse order). I dream in color and I am also a character in my dreams, but I'm often male in my dreams/nightmares.

Now suprisingly a lot of people fel like the post above mine, whether AS or not. I'm in the Army. I've been in 5 years, I know a Navy aspie too. I have a friend who just retired after 24 years and I believe she's an aspie. The point is, the Army is a different animal fom the Air Force. The Airf Forc...

I still coveryself entirely in blankets and pillows . . .I can't sleep any other way. Even when it's hot - a sheet doesn't provide enough weight to make me feel safe. Ihave to have a blanket or other heavy covering. I told the guy I'm dating, it's my way of ceasing to exist for a while.

I like things with rouch textures and chunky things when it comes to eating. It drives me nuts if I run out of rough things to eat. Like corn tostadas.

Well where I work there are no healthy snacks and there are very few places I can go quickly for good food at work. It mostly bothers my checkbook, but part of the problem is the only things that don't have gluten are the chocolate bars, which cause me narcalepsy-like symptoms.

sigh... mouth/eating noises drive me crazy, or rather, I drive myself crazy by letting myself be driven crazy. Have a person staying at the moment who actually smacks her lips , its a deliberate thing, as an appreciation of food. it nearly kills me. The sound that bothers me the most is people crun...

I am having a very hard time coping, and I also have the problem of not being able to forgive myself over very forgiveable things. I want to check out this Da...
