Yes. I've always at most had a few close friends, and that's been more than enough for me.

On the topic of being a good chameleon... I find that, although I have little to no social intuition, I'm pretty good at memorizing protocol, so in familiar situations I can feign social intuition. However, when I'm in a new situation, sometimes I do something incredibly daft because of my lack of i...

I'm pretty sure, but not positive. I was diagnosed autistic at 3 1/2, but I know I'm not. I was in special speech classes for my entire school career, and my teachers in said classes basically assumed I had Aspergers, but since they were the "diagnosing everything that walks" types, and I sure didn'...

I'd like a world of people who actually try to understand each other instead of making hurtful assumptions. After a lifetime of people assuming you're rude/uncaring when you're just a different type of animal, it gets old. And where there's a respect for perfectionism, and the acknowledgement that w...

I'll try to keep this succinct, but that's not my strong suit, so bear with me. Anyhow, ever since I was 15 or so, I noticed that I had this tendency to split myself in pieces, seemingly beyond the norm. For instance, maybe I'd be in my room bawling my eyes out over a love interest, and when I went ...

I'd have to say Lord Lucien in Fable II. As fictional characters go, he actually made me really angry with the things he did to the protagonist. (I'd go into the specifics, but spoilers ahoy.)

Wow, that's terrible. I'm so sorry. Well, I mean little things. Like my stepmom has frequently made offhand remarks that indicate she disapproves of homosexuality, i.e. comparing it to beating your children. "I really want to beat my children, but it's wrong, does that make it OK if I do it?" And sa...

I'm a bi girl, and I've found that, while flirting with guys is perplexing enough, flirting with girls is even more confusing. Mostly because straight girls say pseudo-flirtatious things to each other all the time, so if I wanted to let a girl know I was romantically interested in her, I would have ...

Hi guys. I'm a bisexual female 19-year-old, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar "coming out to family" experiences to mine. That is, my dad and stepmom (mostly my stepmom) would make gay jokes left and right. Still do, actually. They're also mellowly Christian. I distinctly remember bei...

I'm bisexual, with fluctuating gender preference. When I first hit puberty I was mostly lesbian, and in my late teens it shifted more toward heterosexuality. Now I'm 19, and it's about 50/50, I guess.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, that's what modern American society programs us to find acceptable, after all. I'm bi too, and while I'm not a big fan of body hair period, I find it more acceptable on men than on women.
