I've just noticed that your profile says you live in England. I was wondering if you've ever looked into therapy? I think, for your anxiety doing some cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) could be extremely effective. I've actually done this for a very similar issue. The focus of my CBT was trying to...

I have enjoyed house cleaning. It has the potential to pay ok if you work for yourself. I enjoyed the solo nature of this job and the fact that I could have music on and I was usually in nice houses. I was stock person for an import store. I showed up at 5 am which took some getting used to. But aft...

I am currently working on getting a Master's in psychotherapeutic counselling. I have to imagine that every situation will be unique. For starters I do have a diagnosis. You might want to check on what the laws say about your right to request support. I like in the UK and I understand that a person ...

I'm a high functioning autistic woman, and mother to two children on the spectrum. I remember these feelings of not being able to tolerate constructive criticism (or pressure of any kind) and I have worked with this in my daughter and son. What I find helps is to, whenever possible, give suggestions...

I think this has to do with Theory of mind. I found that in my teens and 20s I had gained enough awareness of others to start being worried about what they thought of me. Prior to that time I feel like I lacked awareness and was just sort of blissfully uninhibited. Once you know that you're missing ...

Yes. I can relate. I think this comes with being highly sensitive. Highly empathetic (nice) and highly sensitive to our own feelings. (hurt)

While I was driving home from work yesterday someone came over the hill and flashed his lights at me. I'm usually rubbish at non verbal communication (and this is a prime example of that if ever there was) but somehow I understood that he was warning me that they had the speed cameras out. I'm terri...

I can't know for sure what that other person means, but I do feel like my life becomes unballanced if there is too much drama. If I meat someone knew whom I really like I might let go of doing things for myself just to spend time with them.

oh my gosh. I feel your pain. I had a long strugle with getting my son to toilet train. With the toilet he seemed almost terrified. He was actually a mild mannered child until I would try to coax him into the restroom. I ended up getting a plastic potty and putting it in our living room. I hated tha...

I'm sure there is lots you can do. ASC differs so much from one person to another that you are probubly best making a list of what you feel the challanges are and finding solutions. Based on what you've mentioned a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head are... Talk for him. Like whe...
