I'd lived most of my Childhood in Kid's Wards,and had to suffer,night after agonizing night,listening to poor Kids' Screams,and as the result,Can't stand it when a Child Shrieks! It's like Fingernails on a Blackboard,only Worse,Much Worse for me! I want to remove myself from the source,or play music... |

I was diagnosed in 1991,after 37 long years of having "Mental Retardation" on my Records! My therapist Karen Lakritz looked at me and quickly got it! Thanx,Karen! You've saved my life by correctly diagnosing me! |

This is a common symptom for attention deficit disorder and I read in a book about autism (I forget which one) that most people on the autism spectrum have ADD/ADHD. That would require legislative action, or legal if you can show good documentation and credible witnesses. Most of the stories will be hard to prove; it's fairly common knowledge that abuses have happened but records credibility is still a huge problem in determining what happened to who and when. ... |

Year ago I spent two months at a huge psych hospital in NY. It's been closed for a couple of years now, but when I was there, I actually saw abuse with my own eyes. I've never suffered at the hands of the "mental health" system, but of course, those who have deserve to be compensated. Thank You so much for agreeing,Kuribo!
