| Having gone 23 years without recognition/diagnosis, I can confidently say yes. Though I've been labeled weird, socially awkward, loner, etc. I think this ignorance stems primarily from society being unaware of high-functioning autistics. Even if people were more aware, I think it's hard to pick out ... |

| I've met other aspies in person through a therapy group for adults with Aspergers. Check to see if there are any in your area. I actually ended up rooming with one of them. |

| Depression is very common amongst those on the spectrum. A recent study on adults with AS showed that over 35% (!) of AS adults in the study had attempted suicide in the past. Is it possible to be happy? It's more challenging, I think, for us than it is for others. But there are many unhappy NTs out... |
