How about going to bed around 11 p.m.? My usual life motto is: "Nothing much good happens after 11 p.m." This is based on my life experience of late-night depressions, arguments, etc... not to mention crime out on the streets, etc... Try it for several weeks, and see if you can adjust to i... |

Sounds like you are on your way to more independent living, Limboman! Laundry helps: If in doubt, use anything labelled "normal", "regular", or "medium". Have a housemate show you how to use the laundry, and write up a cheat sheet to post near the machines, so you can j... |

My daughter also accuses me of "starving" her when she was young. I don't think it necessarily means there is a psychosis going on. I think it can be an Asperger's thing. I try to answer this accusation with facts, such as she was always a healthy weight, there was healthy food available, she was al... |

That must have been very scary to not know where your teenager was for 7 hours. The most socially acceptable solution here is to make him carry a smartphone. I "forced" one on my daughter this year, but now that she's adjusted (and realized that she can play Sudoku on it), she carries it everywhere.... |

I don't know anything about Seroquel.
What I am wondering is, if you are not going to follow the doctor's advice, maybe you should be getting another doctor's opinion? |

Questions:
1. Should I consider doing this myself? Am I crazy?
2. What types of activities would be best for young adult groups?
3. What are the pitfalls I should try to avoid if I start a group like this?
4. How do I get started? |

Zette is right on about how people keep track of young children's ages. And, yes, 24 months size is for those still in diapers, and the 2T is slimmer, for those out of diapers. If your children are on the top part of the growth charts, they wear the sizes at about half the age (for example, wearing ... |

My dd is now 20, and is still a very selective eater. She eats about 30 foods. We try to get as much nutrition in those foods as possible. For example, I buy the Smart Choice pasta, since she eats a lot of pasta. I push a bit to get protein into her, and we're now working on "an apple a day". She ha... |

From my perspective (my daughter is 19) I wish I had gotten her a cell phone earlier, and taught her to use it and to text earlier. She had trouble at college this year, because of not being good at carrying a phone/texting her classmates to meet up for class projects, etc... And often I could not g... |

An update: Daughter had to drop one of her courses, and made Cs in the other two courses. She has lost her scholarship, but could potentially earn it back down the road if/when she could raise her GPA substantially. She's home now for the summer, taking one course from her college in an online forma... |

You do write very well. You also seemed to have an answer for what you wanted to do: "maybe I should get a full-time job and take one or two courses at a time toward an associate's degree" (sorry if it's not an exact quote). You seem to have a lot of insight into why you do what you do, and why thin... |

Not much point in being angry. How about doing something about it? You can check out coursera.org, which is a group offering free online courses. You could also check out science DVDs from the library. In this day and age, you can learn anything you want to; there are many resources. |

Applying to three schools is not very many, and often people apply to about 8 schools in order to be sure to get in. |
