I am the "go-to" guy in my circle on all things business, and news and politics. I am very well regarded among my peers, and assume many leadership positions in areas of interest.

outside of that - yes, I do suck very terribly at most everything else

I think what would be useful is cataloguing the types of special interests people have. Then it would be easier to identify which ones have market potential. I thimk any person with AS would be thrilled to be paid to pursue their special interest (I know I would). It just takes someone with busines...

I've been thinking about this very thing recently and have been thinking about what it would take to put something like this together. It really depends on what sorts of things people with AS are doing, the potential market for their SI, and what sort of support they need. I've been thinking that a...

It is a constant problem... I'm bad at flirting and detecting flirts. I either try too hard or fail to display my affection entirely. I tell people to just whack me with a 2x4 if they see something that I obviously do not. That hasn't worked yet, lol. I do get lucky when I am desperate, which in my ...

That's really cool you have a professional job. To what extent did you leverage networking to secure your financial analyst position? Do you work for a private firm or for a government agency / university / etc.? I used careerbuilder, actually... Networking helped me find OTHER people jobs  T...

I do math visually, and am great at mental math. I use a "sum of the parts" approach to almost everything I do, and the basic idea I explain to people is when I calculate tips and am accurate to the penny (most times...) Bill is $100 tip is 20% I see a diamond shape in my head with the $100 on top $...

hire a freelancer to do the things you don't want to do or have little economic benefit. That way, you are free to do the more rewarding activities.

But what if they say you don't have it??????? To me this is a very important reason to get the diagnosis. If they say you don't have it, then there must be another explanation for the Asperger's-like symptoms and this could be relatively benign or very dangerous. You probably want to know with cert...

Finance and investments in general is my SI, by the way. Feel free to PM me about it and I can data dump if you like.

I have been under employed or unemployed for the past 4 years due to the economy and going back to school. I have a job now but I can't shake the fear of getting fired again. Every day is a torture to sit here. Every time someone walks by, I think they are going to come in and fire me. I am a great ...

I do not like people touching me, not even family. I'm not very good at cuddling and would prefer that I didn't have to do that with girlfriends all the time. Sex is fine; no issues there. I've learned to tolerate handshakes although I try to get away with a polite nod if I can. My sisters knew that...

When I was a teenager I hated making phone calls. My mom would always ask me to call someone and ask a question and I would instead try to find the answer in an alternative way (the internet, like when a business opens or not) I am waaaay better about using the phone but my family knows this much: t...

I just want to clarify that I was forced into a cat relationship with an ex girlfriend. We kept a clean litter box but it was still very disgusting to deal with it. I grew up with dogs, and definitely prefer their company over cats. We had two black cats: Kingston and Largo. She kept the cats, I got...
