Reminds me of middle school when I'd call home sick because of diarrhea. I'd call in sick because I hated middle school, but didn't mean those problems weren't there, because they were. I used to have issues with flatulences.
Not so much anymore. Cleaning up my diet helped big time. |

Actually, this is pretty similar to a more philosophical problem of other minds (in fact, perhaps parts of CBT have their root in this). Are other people as conscious as I am? Or are they literally just robots? The whole "selfie generation" begs that question, to be honest (sound pretentio... |

Concurred. A lot of people tell me this, and overall it gets to a point where it's f*****g platitudinous. Ignoring potential root causes always lead to a disaster. |

Here's my response to the topic itself. I understand that feeling of accepting autism as a part of your life. From my experience, "accepting" autism is sort of like acknowledging that you broke up with someone. You get all these questions about life, you feel lied to, and sometimes you wis... |

LOL @ the responses.
As for reapproachment... that ain't happening. Not even close. She hates my guts. If she were given the opportunity to cut my balls off, she'd probably do it with pleasure. (Yeah, it's not a normal brand of hatred; take note, she's an extroverted NT) |

^Same rhetoric used by women's rights and gay rights. As long as it is antagonistic to society, it cannot be accepted. |

I think it's easy to get lost in the overly simplistic notions that something is good, so it's always good, or bad, so it's always bad. CBT done well by an empathic and experienced therapist could probably help many people. I think that includes people with psychosis and depression and schizophreni... |

Right, and I don't think a lot of people in 2015 are comfortable with hiring/being near a person with autism/Asperger syndrome, because either we're all a bunch of bronies/nerds that live with our parents or we're psychopaths that hate the entire world. |

Did Mark Twain Have Aspergers? We will never know, since Samual Clemens died before even the concept of Asperger's Syndrome was developed. Thus, speculation on this topic is pointless. This. Neurology is even more complex than race or sexual orientation. How the heck am I supposed to detect "n... |

The media has a part in this too. In the media, most people with Autism/ASD are portrayed as people who are nothing more than walking, talking stereotypes ever since Newtown. Yeah. It's one thing when a horribly written satire site is taking shots against an entire demographic, but it's another whe... |

Lmao. I haven't played a Sonic game in a while... not since Christmas 2013. Honestly, my video game phase ended 5 years ago or so. I haven't really been interested in video games ever since. I have, however, been interested in GTA modding from time to time, but last time I was into that was 3 years ... |
