Men are lucky, they have condom machines in public toilets. Women don't have them. I am on the contraceptive pill and my boyfriend can't have children any more, but I'm more worried about STDs. I know I obviously haven't got any but how do I know he hasn't? I'm worried about asking him or telling h...

I can understand being embarrassed, sometimes even getting feminine products can be embarrassing (and I'm female); however, I also work as a cashier at Walgreens and therefore see my fair share of people purchasing condoms. I don't really judge people for what they buy. I try not to judge people in ...

Yup, I play, and I'm anxious for Pokemon X to come out! My only real complaint with the games is the inability to transfer your old pokemon to new games without access to another person/game system. I do not know anyone in person who even owns a 3DS, let alone plays pokemon, so I've never been able ...

I had mine removed just a couple weeks ago. Luckily, I only ever grew the two top ones, no lowers. That particular dentist doesn't knock people out for the removal, so instead they had me take a 2mg xanax (which I'd never had before) an hour before the appointment. I was surprised--it actually went ...

That sucks. Next time you have to call in, say you are sick. It is like being sick because a meltdown is neurological and that way you don't have to explain yourself or feel defensive. I also especially when I was younger tended to be over specific and go into too much detail. To an NT saying "ment...

So, I had a melt down for most of the day yesterday (which I had off) and I'm supposed to work tonight. I tried to call in to say I won't make it today, I am close to having a meltdown and anything can set it off. I could burst out sobbing or bite peoples heads off. The manager pretty much replied w...

I've not read the entire thread, so I hope this has not been stated already. I'm responding to the original post. Just because gender roles dictate that women be shy and demure, it does not by any means mean that we females on the spectrum have it any easier. If anything, it may be more difficult in...

I think part of the problem is that's still not widely understood among the populace, unless they have a direct connection to it. I was diagnosed only a year ago and had first heard of Asperger's only two years prior to that. I did not personally know anyone with autism growing up and had never (kno...

I get that "brick wall" feeling sometimes, too. It often happens when I'm trying to do something like pack my belongings to move, for example. Can't think of other examples off the top of my head (I just woke up), but I definitely get that when it comes to tasks that I see as unpleasant/overwhelming...

I was blessed in the bullying department. Aside from maybe an instance or two, I pretty much flew under the radar. In fact, the odd, outcast-type kids would usually "adopt" me as a friend. I also typically made friends through my sister (not on the spectrum).

I have always had trouble breathing through my nose and I often feel that my sense of smell is usually almost nonexistent. I have nasal allergies every day of the year, as well as some recently developed food allergies. I had a severely deviated nasal septum that was surgically corrected when I had ...

If memory serves, it might be that when you are on birth control you do not have actual true periods. Rather, you bleed a bit, but the lining does not build up and shed the same way that it does without birth control. That's how it is with my Nuvaring at least, I'm not sure about the pills. My "peri...
