Yeah, you are still going through the grieving process. That is made harder by your ex refusing to talk about it so you can identify what the issues were, but you will still come through it. I would recommend talking with your GP about getting a referral to a GOOD therapist to talk about some of thi... |

You are just proving my point, Fnord. You are using condescension, tired tropes, and dodgy sexism apologist quotes to justify your arguments. With nary a fact or anything approaching reason to back them up. If you ever what to actually discuss feminism and what it is or isn't (and it certainly isn't... |

Perhaps your wife can join here no ask some questions herself? She might have some concerns or fears that she isn't sure up how to bring up to you, or might like the opportunity to ask questions if other parents in similar situations? I agree with the over scheduling thing. Something nearly every da... |

Personally, I think that the reason why men would not want to be around opinionated women is that 1. it presents a challenge to their dominance and 2. social stigmas dictate that it is especially embarrassing for a man to lose in an argument against a woman than one with another man. 3. There are p... |

It IS illegal to harass someone though - and that can easily involve saying something stupid to someone, usually repeatedly. The problem with "but if women dress up nice that must mean they want attention, and shouldn't complain when they get it" arguement is that there is a world of difference betw... |

I'm autistic. My kid is autistic. That is how we are. Nothing offensive about that ;) The majority of people I have come across insisting on "person first" language are NT parents and carers who are still in that stage of wanting to fix their kid. Using person first language helps them feel more com... |

You are not mean to be happy your daughter is like you. AS is never easy for anyone, but you can understand her difficulties... I am happy my daughter is how she is. She is happy. She is growing. She is healthy. She enjoys her life. She has friends. She has interests. She is three. She happens to b... |

I always felt slightly stunned after the births of my kidlets. In a "wow, look what i just did!" way. And kinda tired  My first two babes I was very excited throughout the pregnancy, they were both planned, and although I wasn't singing lullaby songs or reading stories to them, I felt very conn... |

I am 32, and have only just realised how MUCH I stim. I don't hand flap unless I'm talking and really excited/passionate about what I'm saying, but I stim all the time. Right now I am rubbing my big toes against the next toes down (this is a very frequent one), and I am lightly grindingly teeth/clen... |

(edited cause I posted before reading to the end of the thread. That'll teach me!) That sounds like a whole lot of stuff going on for you, BB. My mum has issues, and was abusive. Like you have strong trigger reactions to child/sexual abuse, although I remember nothing about the sexual abuse. . I cut contact with her for a few years. In that time I was able to get good help for my PND and self harming stuff, and do a lot of healing. I neede... |

I don't buy into the whole girl/guy stuff. Last time I looked, men didn't fix cars with their penises, and girls didn't paint their nails with their vaginas ;) generally, they use hands and brains. I suspect the tomboy/masculine thing most aspie women have going on is more a rejection (conscious or ... |

I am strongly opinionated. My opinion on this thread is that it is amusing to read posts that say opinionated women are just dandy - as long as they are nice/tactful/considerate about it  Without exception the only times I have been called a harpy have been when I have logically presented my o... |

We co sleep with two toddlers, velocirapture, and until my libido returned in full force sex was once or twice a month, partly due to hormones, mostly due to lack of sleep. It did come back though! And we are just creative about the how and when now ;) The aspie women I know all have high sex drives... |
