I have a love-hate relationship to mirrors. More often than not, I feel like the mirror is not telling me the truth.

If a surprise forces me to change my plans, I will not like it one bit. If they do not, however, I will rarely have a positive reaction (unless it is evidently linked to my interests), but neither will I dislike it. I do tend to be uncomfortable with wrapped gifts, though, when you are supposed to l...

I would probably say yes. For the major part of my life, art has been my focal point. But about a year ago, I suddenly lost the interest, deciding to pursue my interest of writing, instead - something which I started with as a younger teen, but had been practising alongside of art until that point. ...

I don't know if this is what you meant, but I like simple colour pencils. There was a time when I used to use them to recreate photographs, and I found it very enjoyable to see how close to the original I could come with traditional means. I just use a 24-set with colour pencils and your average pri...

I've only been painting for about a year. I've just started at a class for a couple of hours a week, to learn the basics. My father also used to paint with oils. Oils certainly stand the test of time, except the blues maybe, can lighten over time if kept in a sunny spot. Then I must say, you're doi...

Hi ccgensou, glad you like it. :D I like acrylics very much, they dry so much quicker than oil and they're more 'substantial' than watercolour, although I like using acrylics with a lot of water for washes. The colours seem more vibrant than watercolours. I tend to paint from photographs, usually f...

That is very nicely done, I am rather amazed. Do you often work in acrylics? I like when people try a realistic approach, so I enjoy looking at this. I hope you will post more works, I'd be truly interested in seeing them. Another thing that I was thinking about is; do you use a reference when you p...

When I were younger, I had nightmares frequently. But then I started telling myself every night, before falling asleep, that I would not have a nightmare that night , and strangely enough, they did cease to come, after a while. Now they are rare, very far between. Although I did have a nightmare not...

For Terry Pratchett, don't start with his first books. They haven't settled to the style at which he excels. If you like him, you can come back to them later. I would recommend starting with perhaps "Guards, Guards" or "Wyrd Sisters" to find out if you are going to be a fan. There is a loose order ...

I'm currently immersed with reading Norwegian Wood, by Haruki Murakami, after recommendations from an online friend.
