I never try to attract men. I don't want to attract male attention, I find it mostly scary and degrading. I work out, make sure I look presentable, and eat right, but only to make myself happy and healthy. |

Best. Description. Ever.
And to the OP, you can always say something like, "no, I just have a grudge against my liver." |

I'm in the medical field, I've lost track of how many people I've seen die, and it's never bothered me. I've been the one holding a friend of mine while he looked into my eyes and then died (cancer), and I didn't cry, or anything. I was glad he was out of pain, and I remember people thought my non-r... |

I just saw my roommate unexpectedly out and about last night and I didn't recognize her ... I know who she is, I see her every day at home, but if I don't expect to see that person somewhere different, I have problems understanding why that person is waving at me. |

I think this needs to be everyone's theme song on this board. (note: I do not need Rogaine...)

That's a good point! Of course the caution here is not to do as I've done in the past and become someone's "unpaid servant" in those regards, but meeting someone like that is a good way to start a friendship. |

I'm definitely child-free by choice. I just don't want a child, I never have. The same thing doesn't make everyone happy, kids would not make me happy. |

Most baristas I've seen don't even have the time to stop for a second and exchange numbers with someone. Some have a little plate on the counter for tips etc. Maybe you could give him a generous tip and a bit of paper with your name & number on it. Someone did this to me once and I was actually... |

I've been a barista and you get hit on a lot, I think everyone does because you're so visible and part of people's day. Before you ask him out or something just talk to him first, ask things like: -How busy has it been in here this morning? -How do you get the foam to come out perfect? - What's the ... |

I have this sometimes, too. I didn't recognize my own brother in public once and flipped him off when he honked at me. I find seeing people out of context makes it really hard for me to place them, even if they're close to me. |

This all fits with me too, especially making a big deal out of little things and then not reacting to big things. I remember once getting enraged with a boyfriend because he said I was "the most beautiful woman in the world." I looked at him and said that he was wrong. He insisted I was, trying to b... |

I've been thinking about this lately. In a lot of my past relationships, my rigid thinking has been one of my biggest problems. I can see now that even though I've been with some legitimately bad people, I am very, very intolerant of things that most people would consider minor problems: lateness, w... |

1. When people change their stories. It makes me focus on details and I sound like a lawyer trying to figure out what's true.
2. When I'm concentrating and someone's talking to me at the same time. Cannot do.
3. Complex, fast movements like in martial arts or dance or something. I just ... can't. |

Yes. I've been told I look intense and intimidating when I'm just concentrating on something. I also got in trouble at work once because I didn't seem "approachable" enough. I don't understand what they mean by seeming approachable. I'm standing still, you can approach me.... I didn't have my arms c... |
