A) Formal clothes, usually solid black unless told otherwise is what I remember from similar events. B) Act reserved. It is not a social gathering for fun, and your behavior should reflect the serious occasion. C) It's best to say less, especially if you are unsure. "I am sorry for your loss" is per... |

Black Sheep: that sounds a lot like a history thing we did. ours was "Model UN" - finding out about and modeling how the United Nations works. some of us who wrote really good papers had to get up and give speeches (unfortunately, that was me). this was actually all on the Day of Silence (http://www... |

oh yeah. there's someone in a few classes of mine that I've known a few years. This person is very loud and tends to annoy most people s/he comes into contact with. sadly, I believe s/he really tries to be nice sometimes. this person definitely knows they are loud and annoying and bossy. the only ti... |

yes, I don't generally have a problem with doing the monthly drills. I understand the necessity. cause I definitely need practice to get a routine into my head. it's just the constant prank alarms. we had another one yesterday. they ruin the day for me. after a drill, my senses are friend and I have... |

Are you AS or autistic? Take your pick  in 5th grade I was PDD-NOS, in 7th grade I was AS, now in hs they just call me autistic. I'm pretty high-functioning in familiar settings. employment. oh yeah, you get a job when you're in college. definitely haven't thought about that. I currently make ... |

yeah, I remember those. they do seem to not have such a big Startle Effect. It's a bit more unpleasant for me, because it just adds really uncomfortable, flashing lights to the picture. |

I'm a sophomore in high school. I definitely do not like drinking/smoking. That I do know :D I dunno what I'm going to do with my life. As far as things are going, I'm not sure if I'll ever live on my own. As far as majors, I've not a clue. I can do math pretty well, as well as chemistry. My main lo... |

How do you know what you want in a college? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to look for in a college. I have No Clue what's "right" for me. and my parents are both NT and went to state schools. The only thing I know is that I want to be close to home. What determines if a college is right for you? H... |

Fire Drills Suck. My school is really good about warning me when they plan a fire drill. Cause I completely freak out. But with warning I can get earplugs in and things aren't so bad. This year, we've got a really screwy system and it randomly goes off ALL the time. We've had probably 30+ this schoo... |

A really good book I think you'd enjoy is "Music, The Brain, and Ecstasy." A friend lent it to me a while ago. I cannot remember the author, though I remember the book was very interesting. |

*waves hand* I'm going to band camp! I waited forever and it's finally starting tonight. Then I go Monday thru Friday all day. 7AM to 8:30 PM. We get lunch and dinner breaks but I can't drive so I guess I'll pack a lunch & dinner. I, being the band geek I am, am really excited. At my school we march... |

That's pretty cool. I had to make up a lot of signs with my friends so I could do signs that reminded them of the words and so they could understnad what I wanted to say. Now in real ASL I'm gonna have to reteach my friends these correct signs. As for Latin, I find it pretty easy. At least Latin 1 a... |

I have trouble understanding the accent that goes with the language. I took Spanish and hated it. Now I take Latin (a written language!) and American Sign Language. I'm loving the ASL. I always hated oral tests in Spanish.
Have any other Aspies learned ASL? |

I'm a 16-year-old Aspie and thought I'd reply. When people think of teens, they often think of this age. From my point of view... Will he have friends? I don't see why not. I have friends. Now, my relationship with them may not be completely typical. But I have friends that accept me for me (some kn... |

sounds like our band! you sign up for the band and then you have to march during marching season and play in the pep band for bball season. all that while you have normal concert band stuff. but it's fun! we also have 3 concert bands (symphonic = best, concert = pretty good, freshman = beginners) we... |
