I prefer to sit on the floor.
When we used to visit one of my relatives, I would lay on her floorboards and watch cartoon network on her television while they chatted and had tea with my parents. I would often fall asleep there because I was so comfortable. |

Audiobooks are not for me. My listening comprehension is not good. My brain is not good at processing speech into meaning. I get verry merry berry tired from listening to speech verry merry berry fast. My ears are for music, not speech. :albino: :albino: :albino: I am much the same. I usually have ... |

My stimming slows when I am in shutdown and becomes a slow, rhythmic rocking. It stops if I am ill and movement will hurt, though there are a few occasional rocks and then when I feel the pain it stops again. I will usually vocally stim at this point though because of the stress and emotional reacti... |

Rocking back and forwards is my most common stim and I do it almost every waking moment. Usually I can't resist, and rarely do I want to. These are some of the reasons that I stim. It is hard to explain exactly why, but I will make an attempt. -My thoughts are always racing, and it feels somehow wro... |

-I haven't slept for more than four hours a night, if that, in three weeks. -My ISP messed something up and the internet has been off for twelve days. We are expecting it to be down for at least six more. All we have is one mobile phone with limited internet. -I am feeling horribly guilty about not ... |

"Sorry." I apologize for so many things, even things that I am not responsible for. Last week, my partner said that it was raining and I apologized for that. I also unintentionally pick up things from sci-fi shows that I like to watch. Particularly Doctor Who. ETA: "Ohhhh.." is another one, w... |

I experience something similar. I will often choose which words I use in writing based on their spelling, their inclusion of my favorite letters, things like that. When speaking, I choose words that I prefer the sound of. My favorite letter is K, it has always simply *felt* right. My favorite sound ... |

Thank you for your responses. The meeting went surprisingly well. There were a lot more people than I thought there would be and I felt very overwhelmed, but I stayed for the entire 3 hours! This has been a huge achievement for me. At first I was worried about my stimming because I was rocking in my... |

I'm leaving now to go to a meetup for an Asperger's support group. It will be my first one. This is a really big step for me and I'm becoming extremely anxious just thinking about it. I feel incredibly panicked and I can't stop trembling. I even posted this in the wrong subforum half an hour ago bec... |
