They are a mixed bag to me. It's how I keep in touch with non technical members of my social network and, as was the case today, actually became part of my job for a few hours, calling up clients to confirm fax numbers. After a few calls I got more comfortable, as I was sweating bullets at first. I'...

I voted for debian, as MEPIS is based on it. I find it has the best hardware detection out there. Updating is easy as well. DSL is great for older machines. I would only use Gentoo if I was going to build a very specific type of computer, say a file server, and wanted to optimize it for that task. I...

If you showed my life to most people, they'd say "no". But the funny thing, is that I'm quite content a majority of the time. The difficulties I have, are simply the result of having to work a day job e.g.:commute - dealing with people on my walk to the train station & people at the train statio...

Fear and respect are two different things.

Fear dictates what people will say to your face, respect dictates what they'll say when you're not around.

I already have a AMD Athlon64 X2+3800, but am really looking forward to quad core. Being able to perform CPU intensive work with multi-threaded apps on multiple cores is one of the best things to happen in a long time. I'm looking forward to multi core GPU's in the future since I'm also a gamer.

Welcome! I am also interested in data entry as a job. Thanks! I've honestly found, after trying all sorts of different jobs over the last 8 years, that data entry and AS is a perfect match, more so if you're inclined to computers as I am. One place I used to work at was an insurance place, and afte...

I've been reading this site for a quite a while now, though I just now registered to post in the job forum. I'm 28 & currently employed as a temp data entry tech, as all the best jobs I've had were in this field. Working at my temp job, I was asked about a permanent position less than two weeks ...

I'll be starting a new Data Entry job in about two weeks where I am already a temp. Every week they have a big staff meeting and I just KNOW that they'll introduce me at my first meeting  . I've already had a few incidents with my coworkers during trips to the bathroom and entering and leaving...
