I've noticed the market is extremely over-saturated for these sorts of books in traditional media and that there is a lot of 'trash' to filter through. I've had some CBT books recommended to me on Audible. There seems to be a good amount of CBT related books there that are all high quality. I am try...

To add to this I went to the doctor recently for an emotional health appointment. I always considered anxiety to be my #1 problem in life and roadblock. He says I score twice as high in depression as I do anxiety. I guess I always consider depression as a sort of mental phase type thing; that I coul...

So to start it off I always thought I was fairly typical when it came to feeling emotions. I've always had typical aspie problems with expressing emotions, but assumed I had a perfectly normal range of emotions. But recently I started looking into medication for my anxiety. I've been reading into me...

An extremely outgoing extroverted lady at lunch said "You're sure being quite today" I looked up from my phone at her, panicking, mind shocked by such an abrupt interruption that required a response - 10 seconds later I managed a shrug in response. A full minute later my mind started worki...

The world should never have to adapt to a vast minority. As such, the minority is left the options: make the best of it OR attempt to become the norm. My opinion is that a full 'cure' isn't likely after development of the brain. My hope is research into 'cures' can lead to things like the mental eff...

As far as I'm concerned, not hiding it is even more terrible. Best case scenario of people knowing = unconscious bias. I like the comparison to a prosthetic leg. Compare the daily interactions of walking around with a prosthetic covered vs uncovered. Most people don't like being treated differently,...

I think the biggest problem with the 'Git Gud' meme, is that originally it was supposed to be about fair game design and mechanics that encourage you to think and plan/adapt. It has now expanded to encompass all difficult gaming, even when it is clearly unfair. "When the boss is on fire, run. W...

I've just realised that I'm a commitment-phobe. I've slowly started socially committing to less and less since childhood. I'm stuck at work-mates with a lot of good people because committing to anything scares the s**t out of me. "You on facebook?"-work-mate Adding someone on facebook open...

Logs of recent happenings on #wrongplanet I'll start by saying the chat room isn't usually as bad as these logs, it's a good place a lot of the time, but at times there's so much trolling, abuse, laws broken and more that it is unbearable. As a lot of people know, it was likely the latters fault fo...

Any information on the chat?
I'm a fan of it, even with its faults and can't help but notice the lack of the 'chat' button on the new site. Will it still be accessible on wrongplanet.net?
ETC

It looks rather nice!
Any chance of theme options? Bright white doesn't seem appealing, variable color would be wonderful :)
Other then that, nice.

I was wondering if there's a reason why updates to threads are only sent via email, rather then also being notified in-site, like you are with private-messages. (potentially a 4th button like 'updates (x)') If there's no reason, is there any chance of this feature being worked on? Or allowing commun...

Well, the reason probably varies from person to person. But I think part of the reason is it's an escape, games often involve entering a whole other world. It's a world where your problems/stresses/worries often don't join you. At the very least they're distracting, you have to interact so it holds ...

Touch tends to be heavily in the realm of "situational", If I know the person enough/expect it/want it/etc then it's fine. The problem comes when I'm not familiar enough with said person, don't want to, or worse of all aren't expecting it. (Not even mentioning almost strangers that still get touchy....

I honestly looked for 'adult' based stuff and was grossly unimpressed. People care about aspie children, then when they're either lost courses or dealing with it themselves. I'm proud of how far it's come, but almost all the progress I've seen is restricted to children. Doing searches on google resu...
