I'm 36 and this actually happened to me in March. I'm college educated and like to think of myself as a professional but I have difficulty holding a job. My last job, which was working at store I generally like, didn't pay very well, and the supervisors were getting harsher with me everyday, despite...

Part of my problem is I tend to attract clingy types, who see my need for alone time as a bad thing. I also bring up esoteric topics when I meet women out of nervousness. Funny, I'm completely normal when talking to married women, because I know they are off limits.

Typical Asian women would like that; the ones raised in Asia.

Funny enough, I'm planning a trip to Central Asia later this year.

Why can't find a date? Are the following attributes desirable? - I'm college educated - I drive a paid off car, and a paid off truck - I own my house (no mortgage) - No debt, just the usual bills, and pay off my credit cards monthly - I fully fund my Roth IRA every year - I have a decent stock portf...

My Asperger traits are a disease to me. I want it gone. I've got money so it's a little one-sided for me.

Take a class in public speaking. Look up a Toastmasters group. I enjoy public speaking when I get a chance. It's those one-on-one conversations I fall flat after all my funny stories run out.

AngelRho, thank you. My degree is in financial services and I've spent the better part of a decade in that field. I'm burnt out from bouncing to so many different jobs in that field. I'd like to be a successful salesman, but it's not me. I can stand up and give a speech to a thousand people, no prob...

I've thought about doing this previously. I'm changing careers, and the entry level jobs in this field are hard to get apparently. It could be the "overqualified" persona we all love so much. Do you think it would help getting entry level jobs without my college degree on my resume? Though...

Apart from the part time jobs in college, my first professional job was in a bank. I enjoyed it. Customers began asking for me by name because I was fast and good at finding solutions to problems. I didn't get fired but I learned I was about to get screwed over so I resigned.

I actually like sales because I believe I'm unemotional about it. If you buy from me, great. If not, have a good day. I have to delete my social inhibitions almost everyday, but it has helped my confidence greatly. My difficulty is a manager/company not giving me enough time to succeed. The aspie in...

I've had a positive experience from women I've met on PoF and OKC. I've had quite a few dates; one I dated for some time. A girl I met a few months ago, we got along great and then one day said she didn't think we would be more than friends. I'm glad she was honest. We're friends on Facebook and tha...

I'm 34, and diagnosed at 32. There are many things about me that are just plain strange that I've come to learn are the manifestations of my conditions. As most of us, I could write a small novella about myself and the things I find interesting and annoying. Some conundrums about me: - I keep to mys...

This would contradict my previous profession as a financial advisor, and working in a grocery store; I mainly want a job where I can work hard and just be left alone.

It sucks to walk into work and feel defeated already.

My major in college was financial services and I worked in the industry for almost six years in various capacities. Unfortunately, I had a personal catastrophe in 2007 and haven't been able to return to the industry as a result (nothing illegal, just a series of snowballing bad personal choices). I ...
