I what you mean, and I get it too. Especially during maths / trying to explain something difficult. It's like the harder you try the worse it gets and you get frustrated and headaches?

I don't know if it's imaginary friends - but in my head I live in sort of an alternate universe. I'm glad it was mentioned actually, I was a little worried about it. I spend like 70% of my time in my head, more when I'm depressed. I have an alterego there and life is just better. I'm better. I can s...

I've not socialised with him outside of work yet, no. I plan on giving him my number and asking him to keep in touch, then he decides what kind of contact we have. I'm quite reclusive so I didn't speak to him for a while, he started talking to me some time last week and I think there's something bet...

Okay, there's a guy at work who I really like. I'm not sure of he likes me because I have trouble working out whether he os flirting with me or just being nice. We finish work in a week and I want to figure something out before then, but I don't know whether to give him my number or what. I'm worrie...

Rock, mainly. Terrorvision, Manic Street Preachers, Green Day, Bruce Springsteen, Morrissey, The Smiths, My Chemical Romance, The Killers.

My favourite band is either Terrorvision or The Smiths, depending on what mood I'm in when you ask me.

Don't feed off of her self harm and don't let her do the same with you. Talk to her about your past with self harm and let her know that it doesn't bother you that she does it, you wont force her to tell anybody, but you will help her help herself if that is what she wants.

 This thread is right up my street. I quote movies / TV all of the time, even in serious / dangerous situations when I'm under pressure. My favourite movie is Shaun of the Dead and I know that movie inside out and back to front. This one time my step dad was beating up my mum, some and my young...

ple with bi-polar can experience bouts of anger, yes. As can people with brain tumours. Injuries or illness to the brain can cause behavioural differences - especially tumours - such as irrational anger, phantom smells, extreme emotional reactions. My guess would be that you would be safer in a psyc...

You're not an as*hole because you're aware that you may have hurt people and you care about it. Maybe speak to your doctor and ask about therapy or medication. I flip out at times but I always feel terrible afterwards and can't calm down, if you're going from rage to apathy that quick there might be...

I was recently in a similar situation. I was friends with a guy that was pretty much the only person I would socialise with. I'd stop at his house maybe once a month, his family were myvsecobd family, we got along well but he would contact me far too much during the times we weren't together and it ...

I don't think we're humourless - I think we have our own style of humour that seems to be a little odd? As Makayla said, there is a lot of dryness amongst aspie people. I think characters such as Sheldon Cooper (as much as I love him) seem to perpetuate the humourless side of autism, although he too...

Sensory issues, especially noise, make me frustrated and angry, which tends to make stims worse which makes speaking to people difficult. I feel that when I am more triggered by sensory issues that I become 'more aspie'. Like the symptoms in general get worse. And I get all teary-eyed and upset whic...

My advice would just be to listen. Don't push him to open up too much but think about what he tells you if he's feeling down or overwhelmed. Take an interest in his hobbies/obsessions, no matter how often they change. Be aware of his sensory problems, and be aware that if he is in a bad mood then it...

Absolutely! Mine tend to last a few months and then slowly get replaced by something else, but are often rekindled when I stumble across them again months later. Especially TV shows/actors. I get an obsession with an actor, buy everything they've been in and watch them all in a row, and then when I'...
