I've been told this at work and have been treated badly by colleges. Often female workers will complain there's 'something about me they cant put their finger on' and have no problems treating me as such. Of course all male workers will always defend females so immediately I'm the work outcast. I al...

If I'm angry or stressed out I tend to act up more. I talk to myself, pace up and down and do weird hand movements. My mother, if I'm with her at the time, will get in my personal space and touch my arm to stop me which makes me worse and I end up snapping at her. Then of course I'm a bad guy.

My parents divorced when I was two. A few years later my mother meets and marries a guy called Lee who lived in a local forest where he was a deer stalker whom I felt some affection for. He taught me how to shoot and took us all on holiday to Ibiza once a year. Though this was all good it was obviou...

There's not really any completely definitive test for AS, and ultimately you'll probably be the one to be able to tell the most whether you really are AS or not, since you know yourself the best. But that also isn't to say you can't get help figuring it out... Let me ask you if you have these 3 sym...

Hi everybody. Now, I know there's no official diagnosis for 'mild autism' but my symptoms are mild.I don't have some of the main traits that others do and that people would mostly recognize as being key factors in autism/aspergers. I'm now 34 but was born with classic autistic symptoms which were mu...

I often find that minor daily occurrences that most people wouldn't care about, specifically at work, really wind me up and thoughts of it race through my brain like a freight train playing the scene through my mind over and over again keeping me from sleeping. This can be a major issue for me becaus...

These are the traits I don't have:

I don't see patterns in things.

I don't notice odd bits of info like car number plates.

I'm terrible at maths.I failed 6 out of 5 exams at school.

I can read body language and facial expressions.

That's...uh....all I can think of for now.

It does sound a little insensitive.I'm just wondering if it was your bosses attempt to make everybody aware of your condition so they would have a better understanding of how to work with you.If your boss did it to embarrass you then its not acceptable.

As I stick around this website I am starting to really understand him. All of the situations you describe he has gone through before. Tha...
