I've copied this from the FAQ page on the Williams Syndrome Foundation website: My child has a Williams Syndrome diagnosis and I have been told they also have Autism. Can this be right? In some respects WS is the polar opposite of ASD, the gregarious and socially open nature of WS people contrasting...

Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell.
I haven't seen much of it, but I find Motoko more interesting than most female anime characters. Ghost in the Shell also has complex themes to muse over.

Perhaps try showing him this book if you feel that it relates to you: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Things-Woman-Aspergers-Syndrome-Partner/dp/1849058830 It's short and informal, but it may be a helpful introduction for your husband. The chapters are very short, so he could read the whole book in 1 -2 hou...

It does not matter whether he is in charge or has leaders, as long as he is accepted by the group

I don't believe this is true for all NTs. Some will try to move further up in the group to become a "leader" e.g. by promotion, or higher rank.

I like blue. Although I would really like to know why the hate against Autism Speaks, anyone willing to enlighten me? All I know is that they are some sort of (US?) autism organization with the goal to do... something? No idea what exactly they do. :) Try reading this: http://www.psychologytoday.co...

I just found this :http://www.autisticglobetrotting.com/is-the-magic-restroom-cafe-fun-for-kids-with-autism.html Yep, it's a cafe with a toilet theme. Food is served in dishes that look like toilets. The seats are toilets. Kids can play in toilets. There is even an actual restroom with working toile...

I really like Sherlock Holmes. So, I would be happy if one day someone created a version of Holmes where he really did have autism. If I were to create a TV show based on this idea I would set it in the present (like BBC Sherlock), but have it set when the characters were teenagers. I would like it ...

Yes if it helps you connect. It can sometimes get a bit draining though if it feels an unnatural thing to do,

As well as social bonding I think that asking questions like, "Have you had a haircut?" is also a way of asking for the person to elaborate to keep the conversation going.

It can seem a little odd. We can get a lot of information from body language -what mood the person is in (relaxed/tense/happy/angry/etc), how they feel about us (i.e. if that person likes or dislikes us), if they are our social equal or not (e.g. two friends meeting up for coffee will have relaxed a...

Can people without mental illness experience visual hallucinations?

I work in a supermarket. Back in October last year I briefly saw myself standing in front of the trolley I was pushing. I blinked and she disappeared.

Thanks
