You might consider that the other class members want to hear what the professor has to say, because that is going to be on the test, versus what YOU have to say, which will not. You're not helping them get an education with your endless "participation". Don't be this guy: http://www.theonion.com/ar... |

Too much false sense of moral superiority going on here And from what the OP as written the parents are too attached and irrational and are actually putting their own feelings above the actual dog almost as if they're milking it to get pity like a person a expecting Funeral services to give them dis... |

If you used it as a noun it's not cool. If you used it as a verb - as in to 'ret*d development' or 'ret*d growth' - you're ok. I think you should probably take a cue from your classmates that you are talking too much in class and dominating conversations. Maybe they're not participating because you... |

Sorry, but having Asperger's or knowing someone who has special needs doesn't grant you immunity using the "R" word. If you're using it as a substitute for stupid, try thinking of another word. We're in the year 2014, people are no longer referred to being "ret*d", they are referred as; a person wi... |

It seems more and more obvious that nearly everyone in my sociology class is only there because they're required to. There seems to be a lot of anti-intellectualism in there as only 4-5 people including me only talk everyone else just tries to sit in the back so they don't get caught using their pho... |

I'm 18 and I've noticed this since I was 7. Once Cell Phones and stuff got huge I could see how Anti-social everyone has become. People breaking up over text messages or FaceBook relationship statuses cause they're too cowardly to do it in person. Everyone is glued to their phones/tablets nowadays, ... |

Mixed feelings about it. I communicate to a few long distance friends with voice chat. Not intending to be age-istic (is that even a word??), but in video games, the team with a little squeaker who's under 13 always loses and stupid things are said and done. You may want to turn your volume down. :... |

We're a little more than half through this year. Have any of you set resolutions to follow. I devoted myself to learning mobile programming in hopes of making a living off it and get all the things I could never get with a 9-5 job. I'm practicing my drawing since I consider game development an art e... |

People love to live in a deluded world as it perceptively creates less problems for them. How else can people in first world countries wasting food and water not feel bad if they pretend all the developing don't exist let a lone the homeless they see on their commute to work? |
