I am NT sometimes come here with questions about someone with autism. Asparagus farmers that had me cracking up. I just came to bring an NT viewpoint. I believe its the buddhists who say the reason we suffer is because we want things. This applies to all humans. Like today in my line at work one of ... |

I am 100% sure that my latest ex boyfriend suffers from BPD. He would threaten suicide to get me to see him after I had broken up with him, cut himself for attention, told me he loved me within a week of meeting me. A major concern for me is that I will consistently end up with men like this, since... |

I'm not sure if I explained correctly. I meant that this other condition, the "hypersexuality", is not necessarily related to, nor due to, nor a part of, Autism . Note also that autism is not the only "condition" that can cause a person to miss social cues, if I judge by the things you said about h... |

Being fair I think the response would've been similar even if it was him posting. It sounds like you were both in the wrong, personally it sounds like he's far more in the wrong, but that doesn't necessarily change things. You both f**** up, it doesn't matter which one is NT. I think the decision y... |

I would sit down with your friend and have a good old 'heart to heart' about how the issues between you are affecting the relationship. Thanks this was positive and helpful I'd say you were both in the wrong for many points, yet you've kicked your addiction and it sounds like you realise you were i... |

um, actually i don't think it's fair to call that mental illness--what i would call him is a sex offender. being hypersexual is no excuse for assaulting people, and this is coming from someone who identifies herself as hypersexual. his behaviour needs to be addressed immediately, because one of the... |

Just a thought: are you sure his "hypersexuality" has something to do with Aspergers? It could very well be another condition, like sex addiction (whatever the technical name would be - one doesn't exclude the other, you can have Aspergers and other conditions). Also even if he has sex addiction (o... |

Haha I can definitely see I am the away team. I haven't drank since the end of last year. I have a serious problem that will result in my death if I continue down that road. I've hurt a lot of people including myself and I regret it every day. To the other poster - You really have not experienced au... |

Kind of reluctant to post this lol not wanting to create a s storm but here goes. I am NT have been friends with man with Aspergers a long time. Both in our 30s. We both have wronged each other. He has withdrawn and doesn't seem to want to talk or hang out anymore. Our wrongings: Me: I am an alcohol... |

Hi I am NT but come on here time to time to try to understand someone with Aspergers. I have some harsh dose of reality for you young man. I am 32 and life sucks. I have to live with my brother because I can't get or keep a decent job. I have enough debt to consider declaring bankruptcy. I have a fe... |

I think some of the people who post here are really delusional when it comes to the way they think about NT people. Hi Ezra I am NT and I come on here sometimes because a friend (or acquaintance im not sure) has Aspergers. I admire your courage in your post. I have an observation I wanted to share.... |

I am NT but this thread hit home for me. I have 5 months sobriety. After gym tonight I stopped by three different liquor stores hoping one would be open late on a Sunday. All three were closed even though the internet said they should be open. I have a serious drinking problem and feel lucky they we... |

Hi I NT my friend has Aspergers so I come on here sometimes. Hung out with him today. I see a lot of talk on here about the whole boring topic. My friend who has Aspergers is not boring. I am NT. My friend has aspergers. This is really eye opening. I did not think people with aspergers could exercise based on what i saw from my friend. When i would invite him to gym, he would go into discussions of how worthless an endeavor this was. It has been a sore point because i could not shar... |

Will try to condense this story. Friend has aspergers and has had jaundice off and on several years. Its very bad right now worried he might die. Initially worried he was a closet alcoholic. Later as read about autism, worried he is trying to overcome sensory overload and other symptoms with alcohol... |
