I am a 16 year old high school aspie who is wondering if there is anyone else out there past or present who is allowed by their IEP to carry a laptop or a like device of their own to classes with them in high school to take notes and complete work. I want to look into adding this into my gifted IEP ...

I posted this in a comment of your last blog post too, but what about people as a special interest or an aspie getting obsessed with another person as a topic? I know awhile back you asked for some ideas for topic, so here goes :D I apologize if you've already seen this or if I'm being repetitive. ...

Yes. Yes I do think the majority of the rest of the students at my school are idiots. Many of the teachers too...but hey it's a public school.

BTW anyone who is irritated by these things, check out this thread in the School and College thread: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt245110.html :D

I just feel really angry about high school classes overall. I mean (mine at least) give you no credit for college, "advanced" ...

***raises hand*** I do. I drive a pickup truck and got my permit last year (FL, US) and kept it for a year and then got my license about 2 and 1/2 months ago. It's wonderful. I can finally set my own school hours (when I show up, when I leave) and get involved in as many activities as I want. I can ...

Wow....this thread is a real eye-opener. You guys live in a world that is completely foreign to me, and I didn't realize how severe my depression (or anhedonia) must be after reading this thread. I marvel at how you are able to enjoy everyday things like washing dishes and doing laundry. Just becau...

I clicked onto your post because the word "happiness" doesn't run across this forum often enough. Then I read your post, and I know exactly what you mean. I love a car that's filled with gasoline. It's just oddly reassuring to me. I also oddly enjoy my bedroom since it has been painted and somewhat...

Does anyone else get excessively happy when doing some everyday thing as an aspie? I really like to go grocery shopping and (I know it's weird...) and going through the car wash. I know they're odd but I find both really fun for some reason. I'm not obsessed with either nor are they special interest...
