Hi Cyberd and Washi. Yeah, she's had no diagnosis as yet. In fact, over the last couple of days or so, I feel like I've noticed a slight improvement. My mum is down to stay for a couple of days, and Abi has really been interacting with her very well. I've also noticed some improvement in her recepti...

Those last two graphs made me snort. One thing I think would be interesting to see over the next 10 to 20 years is whether there's going to be a drop in the diagnosis rates in adults. In theory, if you could figure out a way to cobble those stats together with the stats of dignosed children born at...

I would LOVE to go mushroom picking, but feel that I would have to do it as part of an organised outing, because I'm not confident enough about which mushrooms are safe to eat. I've heard it's easy to learn to differentiate between the dangerous types, so as long as you know which ones not to risk, ...

Hi everyone. I'm also new to this site. I have a non-verbal two and a half year old daughter, who is also socially delayed. Apologies, but this is going to be quite long as I'm really just spewing all my thoughts and observations about her into this post. At the age of 2 she saw a paediatrician, who...

Your son sounds amazing. Is it possible he has a photographic memory? With my two and a half year old, (who is non-verbal and socially delayed, but not diagnosed yet), it's anything physical. In playgrounds, she will automatically head for the hardest, most challenging piece of equipment. Anything t...

Thanks for the welcome. I've just managed to get her settled in bed for a nap -- phew. Time for a bite to eat.

Hi everyone. My name is Alison and I'm the NT mother of an active, happy two-and-a-half year old girl with a significant speech delay -- she doesn't talk at all, although she does understand some of what I say (especially if it's something she wants). She also is socially delayed; while she makes go...
