What I always wish my mom did, was try to understand when I couldn't cooperate, or do what she was asking me to do. There would be times where I would have trouble doing homework and get really frustrated, then eventually gave up or took a break, since it's impossible to concentrate when I don't kno... |

Well, I sometimes like to run with my arms spread out, as if I'm pretending to be an airplane. (I do this occasionally, and when I'm really happy and energetic, though) |

They obviously don't understand that their misbehavior DOES affect people who DO care about learning. And if they do, then they don't care. Has anyone ever yelled at a student, or a class, for misbehaving? I have a couple times, but haven't gotten in trouble, because the teachers understand my frust... |

I believe, because I've seen the miracles. I've seen the amazing things that have happened, in result of simply praying. I've heard the stories, and met the witnesses, and no matter how many people say that "god doesn't exist," or "all the stories in the bible are made up," I will always have my fai... |

Good to know I'm not the only one. :) @Epsilon: I experience a lot of that at school. Especially with the cellphones. I also hear them cussing out the teacher when they don't get their way, which I feel sorry for the teacher when that happens, because they're only doing their best. (My parents won't... |

You know, every day at school, I can't help but feel that most people I encounter are idiots. While I do get along with a lot of people I know, there are some that make me wonder why I'm here with the rest of them. Don't get me wrong, I do have fun, and tend to act immature sometimes, but the studen... |

After a while of thinking, I've finally decided to see if anyone can help me with a problem I have... Just like a lot of other autistic people, I do have heightened senses, especially in hearing, tasting, and touch, My gag reflexes are triggered much more easily than others, and it makes it hard for... |

Dear boyfriend, I love you. I really do. Seriously, you are a HUGE part of my world. But when you tell me that I have to be more "social," or to "open up to people easily," it makes me want to scream: "I CAN'T HELP IT, OK?!" You have autism, too. You've been bullied and made fun of. You've experienc... |

I don't remember doing it as a kid, but when I get excited, I flap my hands in a way that looks like I'm "air-clapping". I do clap, as well, but not as often. |

Indeed, I find that to be a good song as well. :) (well, a lot of their songs are really good) I'm glad to find someone else who likes them, because everyone else I asked never heard of them before. Even played the song as a free choice in my guitar class, and no one in the entire class heard of the... |

I'm wondering if you guys have heard of these guys. If you haven't, let me tell you who they are. I Fight Dragons is a rock band, that uses the sounds of 8 - bit video game sounds in their music. While they DO play actual instruments, they often modify things like video game controllers, to make the... |

It's not just cats, but it seems like it's more animals in general. I think, because of our socialization troubles, gives us a sense of loneliness, and animal companions such as dogs and cats tend to keep us company. If you think about it, they're easy to talk to, they don't think any weird of you, ... |

Well... I've only wore makeup twice in my life so far, and hated it both times, I don't wear jeans with buttons, I rarely wear a dress, I hate clothes shopping, I hate shoe shopping even more, I don't care what kind of style is "in season", I never wore high heals, I almost never wear jewelry, I lik... |
