I argee they have declined since Aenima. "Sober" and "Schism" are the best songs Tool ever made. Ahr. I don't get what some fans have against Lateralus. The actual song Lateralus, plus The Patient, Parabol/a, The Grudge and Reflection are all good enough tracks to make it at _least_ as good as Aeni...
