Please don't misquote me. I said hosting was trivial compared to the other expenses which are quite high. Yeah, and WrongPlanet is really showing all that money pouring into it. I suppose having features that actually work isn't very high on the list of things to blow cash on? Hosting isn't what ma...

I don't see what the big deal is. I've been *very* helpful in listening to suggestions and complaints. What makes you think I won't do so about intellitext? Hmm, I dunno, maybe it might have something to do with the fact that you're turning the site into a cesspool . Don't hold me on that, though. ...

Awesome MP3s almost every day, a background so yellow it warps the mind, and Rip Taylor's glowing, disembodied head.

The "HTML in signatures" thing in the profile is misleading. I'm not quite sure which tags work and which don't, but I know that most HTML and BBCode tags don't work there. We try to keep images in signatures to a minimum anyway, so maybe you could use a text one.

If you know the exact phrase, it helps to "Search for all terms" instead of "Search for any terms or use query as entered" and you should narrow the results way down. The "Display results as posts" option down the bottom also helps to pinpoint the reference in the topic.

My room has hundreds of books lying all over the place. I've read them all, some of them multiple times. I was getting into King novels shortly after I first learned what those funny shapes called letters meant, and I haven't stopped for any real length of time since.

So... yeah.

The Thin Red Line, if only for Hans Zimmer's "Journey to the Line." What an amazing piece of music. Also, Vanilla Sky. The Chemical Brothers, Peter Gabriel, and Sigur Rós all together in one crazy mix for a crazy film. I'm probably forgetting a bunch, but those two are big.

Alex had a bit of a mishap with the delete key. It should be fixed within a couple hours -- I've got an absurdly huge backup of the site to download before I can do anything.

I've always found this poem to show off the language's weirdness pretty well. Try reading it out loud -- it's tough, but imagine how much harder it must be for people whose first language isn't English! The Chaos by G. I fixed the disappearing entries, but because PHP-Nuke is a pile of garbage, the dates are stored in the wrong format. It thinks the entries from 2005 are newer than the 2006 ones.

Anyway, the entries should work fine now, even if they're a little out of order.

I think GroovyDruid has moved his base of operations from the blogs page to articles linked from the main page. If he's submitting entries to his blog and they aren't showing up, that's another story, but are you sure he's still doing that?

If you can get on the Internet, download and install AVG Free, then run a scan. They're pretty good about having up-to-date virus definitions, so hopefully it'll be able to find the problem. After that, run Windows Update and reboot.

It's good to see Jurassic Park getting appreciation. Thirteen years later and movies still haven't caught up to Spielberg's dinosaurs in realism. Plus it didn't forget to be a kickass movie in general. :D
