I've never understood the mindset that says it's only possible to love one person at a time. I think it's a kind of mental brainwashing imposed on people by the church. I want to know who came up with the idea that eery person will meet someone who is capable of meeting their every physical and emot...

I concur. And genetic problems are only an issue if they plan to have children (and frankly, with just a single generation, it's unlikely to be a serious problem anyway).

I ABSOLUTELY DETEST malicious humor intended to injure the dignity or self worth of another person. Another whole-heated "I agree" from me. See "Joan Rivers". ;) Except... does anyone else find that the current style of excessive swearing, etc, just detracts from the humour (if anything else remain...

AS people that know that they understand body language (better than NT's) will communicate on an entirly different level - your duaghter is actually more evolved. There will be a piont when the world is all AS that we won't even have to whimper, and our body language cues will be so subtle you'd th...

My wife (NT) is a great one for the context-free references too. In the middle of a conversation, she'll just switch subjects totally out of the blue and start talking about something completely different, with no context whatsoever, and expect me to automatically figure out that she's changed the s...

Not all British humor is "dry and ironic". It's frequently understated, but also frequently wacky, surreal and off-the-wall. Take Mony Python as an example. Groucho Marx would have gotten on perfectly well with the Goons. Sarcasm need not need necessarily be cruel or target others; it's all part of ...

I'd probably be either some kind of multidisciplinary warrior-mage, perhaps not unlike Elric of Melniboné, or a very, very high-level pure mage. None of this penny-ante stuff like elemental magic or saidin/saidar, no re-memorizing spells every day from grimoires (what was Gary Gygax thinking?), ... ...

My motor skills are pretty decent; I can do most things pretty well, and I'm ambidextrous in most things (including pistol shooting, but not writing). I have a bit of trouble threading sewing needles these days, but that's because I'm starting to have trouble focusing on the eye of the needle at tha...

Does it help at all that you're not the only one feeling this way? I have an essentially wasted career, because no-one will hire me any more because I'm physically disabled and in near-constant pain. I have lost many of my pleasures like running and rock climbing for the same reason. My life has bee...

my passion is doll making and if i get on ssi, then i would not be able to sell my dolls. my last social worker said i could only make $20 a month. Your social worker lied to you. These days they're trying hard to find ways to either help people get off welfare or disability altogether, or to work ...

I would ONE HUNDRED TIMES rather be able to get a job. But no-one will hire me, because they don't believe that someone who's obviously in constant pain can do the job.
