What are you so afraid of ? Why wouldn't you 'handle it well' if your child was autistic ? Please see my above post to understand what I am so afraid of. I know my husband and I wouldn't be good parents to a low functioning, non-verbal autistic child because we are both very emotionally weak people...

In my experience it's been at least partially related to genetics and drug usage.
