I miss having one. It used to be dinosaurs ( I know, typical ). Then it was Fallout, then Aspergers. Now it's music, film, and shows, but it's not really as thorough and "special" as it used to be. I miss having something really specific as an interest. |

High functioning is "better" than low functioning because adapting to a neurotypical society is easier when you are high functioning. That's all there is to it really. HFA is less impairing than LFA, but I agree that neurotypicals treat you more understanding when you are low functioning. That is th... |

I do this sometimes when I'm having a conversation that bores me. I do my part, I ask questions and pretend to be interested, but when the other person starts talking again I just completely drift off, and then I just go "Uhuh, yeah" when it's my turn to talk |

I also love dystopian science fiction novels :) I still love Stephen King's The Stand, although as I got older, the ridiculous deus ex machina started annoying me :? I also love 1984, but I haven't read brave new world yet ( shame on me :( ) I've not really read a novel that resembles reality yet. I... |

I'm not certain whether my dissociative symptoms are due to my ASD diagnosis or my schizo spectrum diagnosis. I'm wondering if other people with ASD have these symptoms as well. -Derealization, as in the world seems like a dream or simulation. In a way I think it is but most people don't seem to no... |

This is really familiar :) Until I was 12 or so, it sometimes got out of hand. I couldn't throw away an empty water bottle one time. Until I was 6 I wouldn't even cut paper :? I also never threw things out, I had drawers full of junk. I still instinctively feel compassion for objects sometimes but I... |

I never saw Seinfeld but I do like some sitcoms. I grew up on friends, and still like it, although I seem to be the only one here :P I really love Simpsons, and most South Park. The funniest show of all time is still Arrested Development though :D In general, I have some moments where people laugh a... |

Being outside during a heavy storm, the way the wind hits your face makes me feel so alive :) The way the air feels right before a storm and walking through mist are also great. Also, the taste of tomato ketchup, raisins and very dark chocolate. Visually I like fire, dark clouds and that pinkish col... |

Happened to me too :) I also trip over literally every doorstep I come across  i once did it in a pub with alcohol, everybody turned and laughed at me :oops... |

I love showers. I have one every day, can't really wake up without one.
I seem to forget time while in the shower, I find it a very good place to think. |
