I'm a biology major, specifically in botany, but biology in general is very interesting to me, especially the interaction of genes and environment. If you have any knowledge of evolution you may know what a niche is. If not, it is simply an environment/lifestyle/diet and organism is suited for. Huma...

I prefer crosswords because they make me think. I don't enjoy the ones with celebrity trivia, but put the sciences in there and I will solve it! Word searches are too easy, but they help when I can't concentrate. I do a lot of foraging, and I find that my brain really really REEEEALLY likes to look ...

I enjoy looking at the clouds and stars.

Looking up at the sky, especially at night, give me such an intense feeling. I'm not familiar with the constellations so I made a few of my own, a manta-ray and an orca.

Old post, but I wanted to share in case a lone internet user decides to come across and read this. Currently I am not diagnosed Asperger's, although it is suspected by my therapist and I share many traits. Anyway, as a child I wasn't fascinated by traps, but I did and still do like to take things ap...

^ Hard to know. Maybe it was just comfy there. Let's hope that was it. It may not have stayed put all the time either, it might have moved about and eaten and such and happened to be by the tree at the times when you saw it? It's a possibility. Edit: Someone I knew on another forum used to have box...

I have a pet starling named Lucky. He just turned two the beginning of May. He is a curious little bird and always has to being sharing with his "Momma", but sometimes I don't enjoy it when he tries to share the bugs he catches with me. Lol That is so cool! I've never heard of a pet starl...

I was thinking a bit more about this and if one does seem to age slower, it could either be to good cell maintenance, high cell turnover or both. In the case of the first, I would expect a person may have an average metabolism and changes in diet have less of an effect on brain function. In the latt...

Hello, I started this as a discussion of the aging process, both physically and mentally, from birth to death. It seems to me that there are people out there who just age slower than others in both the mind and body. It also seems this is more common among people with autism, Asperger's and similar ...

Personality is at most one reason, but the others could be core reasons also. Without the difficulties obtaining diagnosis or problems getting or lack of need of benefits I do not think most of the people we are discussing (mature adults) would stop at self diagnosis, but you have to ask them to be...

I know there is no perfect comparison to this whole diagnostic drama. The closest thing I can think of is if someone said, I'm Christian, or I'm Hindu, or whatever, and people told them, "No you're not! You don't act exactly like us!" Or, more accurate for the comparison, "Nuh uh! Th...

the f***** up thing is that these shrinks are the gatekeepers to resources us autistics need. LMFAO! You started a thread in which you stated that you suspected yourself to be autistic and asked if you seemed to be on the spectrum JUST YESTERDAY. http://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&...

It seems to me as if everyone on here is a fantastic communicator, maybe just not verbally. Sometimes I just think my brain goes to fast for my mouth & people can't keep up, so I get frustrated & don't articulate myself properly because I have to phrase things in such a way for people to un...
