I went to a dance exactly one time during my school years... I remember that she was wearing a midnight blue dress, and slowdancing with Brooke was the most intimate and special feeling I have ever had, before or since. If you've seen the newer version of "Pride & Prejudice," it felt like the on... |

Yeah, it will be tough, I'm sure. But I still think there are actually plenty of people interested in someone who is generally anti-social and pretty independent. Those are things that I definitely like, because when I'm dating that kind of girl it means I don't have to pretend to be social myself. ... |

I have a good aspie friend, and the two of us are both INTP aspies. I personally have been romantically into at least one INTJ that I know of, who was Neurotypical. So it certainly isn't unheard of :) if I were to date that girl, I think the main issue would be that we are both very stubborn, depend... |

I actually can see cute being an insulting thing to say. It isn't outwardly insulting, because as people have said further up in this thread, the word cute has a positive connotation and is generally a good thing. But it can also be a dismissive thing to call someone, and saying someone is being cut... |

You know honestly, I feel that I've calmed down a lot romantically... I used to be in similar shoes to what I hear you describing... but I don't really think that the way I feel has changed all that much. Rather, I take those feelings less seriously now than I used to, and I recognize that when I ha... |

Yes, People in general scare me. There is a line that any given relationship crosses or at least can cross, and after crossing I feel much more at ease around that person. I am curious what makes the difference in crossing the line, but I don't know. And another thing, in learning to cope with AS be... |

Dear Brian: As I caught myself up on this story (I have only read this particular thread, as of now.. I know you alluded to previous ones), I was thinking to myself that you seem to be doing a fantastic job, and getting great advice, and that by the end there would likely be nothing for me to contri... |

Oh hey Alycat, congratulations! I'm so happy that worked out for you! I'm interested in how this conversation has developed since I was last here, also. Boo, you do kind of strike me as abrasive, but I often like that in people. My experience is that guys are at least less likely to share emotions w... |

Ok, so first I'll try to give something of an answer to the question about interpreting body language, then I have a question of my own as well. If you like movies, and watch the movie "Hitch," a good part of what the story is about is that some people are more socially savvy and aware than others. ... |

"Yeah he's been really nice. It's just been a bit confusing because I'd always thought that either a guy would want to date you and would hang out loads or they'd not want to hang out and would say "I don't fancy you" when you asked. He's wanting to hang out and (if I've read it correctly) said that... |

Alycat, I was excited for your story as I got caught up reading about it. So in my own small way I am very sad to see it unfold this way. I think you handled yourself just fine though, an you have nothing to feel ashamed about. Sadly, knowing NT guys quite well because I most likely am one... most t... |
