When I first met my boyfriend, the way he introduced himself to me was something along the lines of "I have braces, acne all over my chest and don't wash well." Really? There's nothing more disgusting than a rotting personality, more so than poor hygiene. Believe me, if you want women to be attracte... |

I think the first anime I watched was Knights of the Zodiac. I only watched a few episodes of that, though. I don't really remember it. |

We don't address it much, because he feels like he's being treated differently. But when we do, we just say it as being "on the spectrum", something that his therapist recommended he use instead. |

I have to admit tho that the moderately religious/conservative women were way much less likely to be judgmental toward virgin or little-relationship/sex-experienced guys, in fact they usually have positive thinking toward those guys, they are more likely to think "this guy is taking his time to bui... |

I can certainly understand why she's behaving this way. I was a victim of sexual abuse as well as a child, and believe me, even now, I have to prepare myself first before I have sex. I do this to assure myself that I won't be violated, and I'm doing this on my own accord. In any case, she needs to ... |

So the reason I joined this site is to get more insight on this diagnosis. My boyfriend has high-functioning Asperger's and I have a very difficult time coping and managing his behavior . I'm considered Neurotypical, apparently. In any case, we've been going to a ground counseling sessions for peop... |

It's probably worth noting that he has the same issue as well. He actually gets insulted if someone refers to him as "Aspie". In another note, I should also mentioned that I meant to say that I have trouble coping with his behavior. I don't try to manage it. I just have trouble trying to manage copi... |

I don't mind "Aspie", but I usually use "autistic" for myself because the Aspie stereotype doesn't really fit me, and because I prefer to identify with the whole spectrum rather than just the nerdy, highly-verbal, talk-your-ear-off, socially-awkward portion of it. :) Plus, recently with the DSM-5, ... |

I don't think your current feelings are a good base for a relationship. As I've been told, relationships are the most difficult thing an Aspie can encounter. Some relationships take some work, and others pretty much require your undivided attention, depending on the relationship. Being in a relation... |

I don't care for religion, so I supposed I'm considered to be an Atheist. That being said, I respect religious people who don't try to force me to follow their religion or condemn me for not being religious. |

As the other poster said, wait. Believe me, relationships are not all happiness and sunshine. It's a lot of work to make a relationship work. A LOT. I wish I hadn't jumped into a relationship when I was 17. Even now, I just want to be on my own and pursue my goals. For now, I advise to just enjoy yo... |

As I've been made to understand, it's definitely and Asperger's trait. I know from experience and our many fights and arguments, that my boyfriend loathes the idea of relating to me or sympathizing with me, which can be incredibly hurtful. But speaking as an individual, I'm considered an NT, apparen... |

I found that those who Asperger's are actually more picky. When I met my boyfriend, he had a list of what his perfect girl should be like. I only met about half of those listed requirements. Apparently, it was a deal breaker that I didn't like the Simpsons or that I occasionally wore glasses. In fa... |
