I never liked philosophy, it was way too abstract. I've always had trouble with abstract thought and metaphors and such. |

First of all, welcome :) I know exactly what you mean. People often think I look angry, while I feel that I just look "neutral". I don't smile a lot. People sometimes act in a way I don't get, meaning that I must have done something wrong, but I don't know what. Ok, I'm not being a great help here, ... |

Yeah, I have that too. I guess it has to do with my fixation on details instead of the big picture. At school that bothers me too, I don't hear what the teacher said because I was so fixated on how his right sleeve was higher up than his left sleeve... Also I have trouble remembering faces so I don'... |

Hi Enigma, I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. It is hard for me to socialize too, and for lots of people with AS. It is possible for an Aspie to achieve great things. Certain noises annoy me too, like cars honking, car alarms, and I cannot stand the sound my alarm clock makes. Sounds like that can really make me go crazy if they last for a while. |

Somewhere in between authorative and permissive. There were rules, just not a lot of them. I think it's good. I don't think having a lot of rules makes you a better parent. |
