Ok. I sort of need to get this out. Not sure if it is ?autistic? or ?aspergers? or not but still. Right! Yesterday I was supposed to be going on this trip with the primary school I am at placement with. I left on Monday night with the risk assessment I had to read and I was preparing myself for the ...

Rachael is the person that's helping me 'transition' from a 'child/teenager service' to an 'adult' one. She's the one that has been doing all the check-ups on referrals and things. I'm not overly certain on what theory of mind is. I think (from my understanding) that it is being aware that other peo...

I did question Anthony about the question itself and from what he said, typically people on the spectrum would say that they would expect to find spaghetti in the cookie jar because they knew what was in there. He does normally work with children, that is for sure! how Jamie would handle these situa...

So recently I had a screening and it was commented that my theory of mind (understanding that other people think differently and so on) was quite high. That was one of the reasons that he wasn't too keen on referring me elsewhere right away. I am just curious as to what you guys thought of that. Gra...

Ok, so as you may know I had my screening today. Granted the test he gave me was for people up to 17 years of age and 11 months old and since I am 18 and 18 days, it may not be accurate! Which I rolled my eyes at. This man does normally do screenings for younger children though as he is a part of CA...

Thank you, all of you! I knew I shouldn't worry but then again I never can control it.

I'm still tired but I did get some sleep (after my brain stopped spinning). Time to go through my morning routine, there are only three hours left now.

Of course I'll let you all know how it goes.

So I think I'm panicking. Rachael contacted me last week and said she had managed to get a screening booked for me (unofficially I think as my actual referral got sent to a completely different place) and it didn't really sink in until today. I don't know what to expect. Ok, I'm meeting Rachael abou...

Thank you all for giving me some reassurance, my GP has sent my referral (or is going to now-ish) for a screening.

Ok, I am freaking out! Rachael, my peer support person has booked an appointment with my GP in order to try and arrange an assessment. I don't know how to prepare. It's on Wednesday and I feel like it's going to be part one of pleading my case and hoping someone understands. I think I'm just going t...

Thoughts? Do you have good personal hygiene? Do you forget things? I forget things, like brushing my teeth before bed and sometimes washing my hands. Is this somewhat normal [bad word choice I know] or am I alone in this? I am trying to change this but it seems to be a losing battle. Unless I think ...

I have noticed that I sometimes say it at the beginning of a verbal response where I am fairly certain what I am about to say is something they don't want to hear (but I'm not sure why I do that; it is not a conscious decision, just something I notice after the fact). I do that. It tends to be when...

I have a Facebook account and a Twitter account but I don't really go on them unless I have to or feel the urge to, which is very rarely.
I do however have a Tumblr, it isn't as social (or at least, it doesn't seem to be) as the other ones.

Ok, just first off... I'm not sure if this is linked to Autism/Aspergers and I guess this is me trying to find out. I've always been pegged as a 'fussy eater' but lately (well I'm not sure if I'm just noticing it more or not) my eating habits have been dreadful. I have a select range of foods I will...
