Wow, that's quite a heartbreaking story!... And don't worry it's not dull at all and you are certainly not ranting... I appreciate and truly respect your sincerity in telling your life's story... Good luck with your life as a mum and I wish you lots of strength in staying away from drugs and booze.....

I would very much like to hear your thoughts on the relation between asperger's (or other forms of autism) and drug use. Are aspie's more inclined to substance addictions? How do drugs affect the aspie mind? Which drugs (if any at all) work 'best' for asperger's? Tips for getting rid of addictions. ...

If you don't feel comfortable in the path you have chosen, then stop and rethink your options -- especially if you wouldn't have wasted any time credits-wise... Of course, choosing the right career path is very difficult, since you never know exactly how things are gonna work out... But if you love ...

I used to be passionately interested in philosophy and I collected the s**t out of philosophy books - I had thousands of books, the walls of several rooms of our house were lined with books... I spend all my money on books... of course I could never read them all :? Then in a few years time I became...

Sometimes it's a big reassurement simply to know that people understand your problems... Being an auti in a non-auti environment can be very lonely... Hearing from other auti's that they recognize your problems can be consoling... No need to be a hero... Let's just support each other by being compre...

I forgot to tell you about my job... For more than 10 years now I have been working as an editor at a political party... The job fits my autism very well... I have to check the spelling, grammar and style of official documents... Communication with colleagues is minimal and always focused on the job...

My first impression is that you indeed made a mistake... The best thing is to find a job that fits your talents and doesn't put stress on your weaknesses... Communication between auti's and neurotypicals is always difficult because auti's use language very differently... So if your job will require ...
