It's quite depressing to watch this cycle play out over and over again while everyone seems blinded by niche issues. People have the power to change this if they would just educate themselves and do something about it during election time. |

That is an interesting perspective. Science has always been about questioning, when we stop questioning things we stagnate. |

The world certainly isn't headed in a good direction as of late so it's understandable. |

A professional should work through this disorder with you if that is an option. If not, one thing they will likely do is teach you to accept the anxiety. This would be done in a controlled manner however. Gradually and carefully you will expose yourself to a tolerable level of anxiety and then learn... |

I couldn't agree more, unfortunately, it seems like I'm going through something like that right now. I mean, I do have a close group of friends that I've known for years, but it just doesn't feel like any of them really "understand" me if that makes sense. Like, the person I have to be ar... |

I guess it depends on what you classify as "nothing". Without a structured regime (going to school, work etc.), I spend most of my time playing the PS4, posting comments on forums, walking around my town aimlessly and 'zoning out'. Whilst strictly speaking it isn't nothing, it's hardly a ... |

Yes, I used to chew everything as a child. I've mostly stopped since reaching adulthood but still do it on occasion. It gave me a calming effect and helped to deal with the stresses of being in a school environment. |

The big difference is, due to our abundant strangeness and often impaired social skills it can be hard for us to find people like that to share our lives with, and perhaps that is what causes frequent depression among aspies. It is really hard finding people like us isn't it. I've tried searching f... |

I am curious if this becomes widespread and more people participate. Do you think people's health would go up and healthcare costs go down? That is an interesting question to ponder. The eternal pessimist in me says it likely won't. People are resistant to change even when it is something that will... |

I think like most stuff of this nature, eventually it will be used to exploit rather than reward. Another possible outcome would be charging higher premiums to people who don't participate. Looking ahead into the future of course. I will admit my bias in this. I get 30,000 to 40,000 a day, so this ... |
