Whenever I hear it being brought up it's never anything positive and I just thank my lucky stars that these people haven't identified me and locked on target. |

I can't get along with most Aspies I meet in real life. Especially when they're in an Aspie group. I often notice that most of them seem to split up into groups of two or three, while I'm left out. My NT sister had the same problems as me with one Aspie group. I think it's cool that they can even b... |

I misbehaved a lot in school when I was younger, and later on I chilled out quite a bit but it was too late because I already had a bad reputation. And my school system wasn't that great to begin with.Honestly being forced out of school at 16 was probably the best thing that ever happened to me.I was ... |

Another thing I should have said is that I have a hard time fitting in with anybody at all really.I'm pretty isolated(not geographically)and pretty much have my own culture at this point.I've yet to meet anyone who has even 1/10 as many of the same interests as me. Probably most of the media I like ... |

I was diagnosed with AS at 16.My father wasn't diagnosed with anything but we're extremely similar down to our mannerisms. He's always at odds with everyone else and their viewpoints. And he can be very argumentative or get worked up easily. He just thinks he's always right and everyone else is always ... |

Andras, that makes me wonder. Not sure if I really really want to know but I wonder just how normal or not so normal people think I am. |

I just remembered and don't know how I could forget that I actually was friends for a few years with a guy who was also diagnosed with AS.We weren't very alike. He was more of a weirdo and and had less friends than me though he somehow managed to do well(much better than me) with the opposite sex.He ... |

I know that depression and social anxiety aren't uncommon for aspies.I guess what I was getting at there was that I just push through it and any other problem so I don't seem weak or "special" and get pointed out and targeted by "normal" people. Like I said though, the only other person with AS that ... |

I don't think I'd know what to say to another aspie in real life, and would probably have a hard time relating.I've only met one other person with Aspergers that I know of and she seemed a lot less high functioning than myself. Before I was diagnosed at 16 it was obvious that I was different, but I wa... |

In my opinion part of the reason at least part of the reason may be the individual person's environment and personal life experiences. |
